Blonde Conversation

Author's Note: This was inspired by a challenge that I heard of at the American Dragon: Jake Long Fan Forum. I wrote this after I realized that the challenge actually entitled more, but I didn't have time to write the rest, since I am writing the next chapter of Destined.
Rose was alone with in the second floor bathroom applying a layer of pink lip gloss. She was just day dreaming about her last dream date with Jake when Stacey walked like she owned the place. The cheerleader stood beside the girl and looked at her impatiently, waiting for her presents to be acknowledged.
"Can I help you?" Rose asked frowning slightly.
"You need to understand something, Rose," Stacey said in a matter of fact voice, "If you are going to sit at the jock table and not even play a sport then you need to abide by the rules."
"What are the rules?" Rose questioned.
"Well for starters you can't date gel haired skater boys," Stacey said with a cringe, "Jake Long is not even on the food."
"Food chain?" Rose asked, getting sick of being confused by the conversation.
"The social food chain, duh. Cheerleaders like me are at the top," she said flipping her golden locks, "While nerds on the chess team on the bottom. You can't date below yourself on the food chain when you are popular for no reason. It just isn't done."
"Well maybe things should be mixed up. Plus I am not dating Jake Long," Rose lied, she and Jake were of course dating, but had to keep on the down low, since she was worried about them being connected and that going back to the Huntsman.
"Well you should tell him, since he has your picture in his locker, and that's just ewwww," Stacey said. "Brad likes you and he is the captain of the football team! So many girls would love to date him."
"They can have him," Rose said tired of the conversation. "Listen Stacey I'll date and be with whoever I want, screw the food chain, and screw popularity." And with that Rose left the bathroom and became the first person to leave Stacey speechless.
