"Come on Drew! Ugh!" Kelly paced back and forth, digging her nails into her head as she raked at her curly blonde hair.
"Calm down Kells, he'll be fine." Eve said while filing her nails on the sofa in their shared locker room. The two diva's stayed silent for a minute before Eve bolted out of her seat.
"Wait a minute...since when do you care about Drew McIntyre? I thought you hated him...or something." The brunette put her hands on her hips and gave Kelly a look that said, "Girl, what is wrong with you and why didn't you tell me you had a crush on a guy?"
Kelly spun on her heels and calmly said, "Ever since Adam left, I've been thinking about Drew a lot more, because they had that feud going on. I'm pretty sure the two of them would have taken it even further if Drew had made an attempt to try and get my forgiveness." She pivoted and turned her attention back to the screen, letting out a groan of frustration when Drew fell out of the ring.
"Ugh! That's it! I'm going down to that ring and giving that guy a confidence boost!" Kelly stormed out of the room, leaving a slightly confused but giggly Eve alone.
"A...confidence boost? Seriously Kelly, that sounds so lame." She rolled her eyes and looked at the screen, waiting to see her best appear and do...whatever she planned on doing. Eve hoped she wouldn't do anything reckless and get herself hurt, she couldn't bear to see her in anymore pain then she'd been in recently.
Drew groaned in pain as Ezekiel kicked him in the stomach, and blood spurted from the Scots mouth. While the bigger man was busy with getting the crowd pumped, Drew decided that enough was enough. He wiped the blood off his chin with his middle and index finger, and with them coated with the crimson liquid; He wiped them down vertically on each cheek like war paint. He let out a battle cry and charged at his opponent.
After a few minutes of countless punches being thrown back and forth, Ezekiel had the upper hand again, and Drew was once again trying to catch his breath on the floor. His vision blurred as looked around the arena, trying to come up with a plan to beat the muscular man in ring.
Suddenly the arena was filled with loud, familiar music. A diva's theme song...Kelly's theme song. Drew clenched his eyes shut and tried to focus on the woman coming down the ramp, her face holding a determined look that she rarely used. Once down the ramp, Kelly was at his side and trying to help him up.
"Come on Drew, get up." she said, being gentle as she helped him to his feet.
"Why...are you helping me? I thought...you hated me..." he looked away, momentarily forgetting about the match.
"No Drew, I don't hate you." she said softly. Kelly heard the referee count to seven, and was quick to act.
"Now go on! Get in there and win for me!" Drew gave her a bewildered look and slid back into the ring and onto his feet.
The rest of the match went smoothly. Except for the rude and degrading comments he was recieving from Michael Cole, Drew had a good feeling he was going to win...for once. And...he did. It all went by in a haze, so when the referee grabbed Drew's wrist to hold his arm up, Drew looked at him like he was crazy. He couldn't believe it...he'd won. That meant his job was safe, and he wouldn't have to go back to Smackdown.
"Congratulations Drew!" Kelly exclaimed, bring the Scotsmen out of his thoughts. He smiled slightly at her as she wrapped her arms around his waist, looking up at him with a sweet smile. Drew chuckled and hugged her back, kissing the top of her head. In the back of his mind he could hear the audience gasp in shock and some in disgust, but he didn't care. Kelly was finally in his arms, and she was happy for him.
Kelly looked up at him with a shine in her eyes, and brought one hand up to cup Drew's cheek in it as she brought his face down to hers. She kissed him, and although it was a chaste kiss Drew swore it was the best he'd ever had.
