p style="text-align: left;"Judith yawned, squirming in her crib slightly. She could here soft noises form downstairs and could make out few voices, she lifted herself to a sitting position and held her soft plush rabbit close. Her stomach growled, she sobbed softly, wanting to be fed. The haste footsteps coming up the stairs meant something was wrong./p
p style="text-align: left;"It wasn't her mother, it was a man, he was her father either. He had messy dark brown hair, slightly sunburnt skin and a sheriff's uniform. "She's alright, Laurie." The man picked her up, rushing back downstairs with her bouncing along with him./p
p style="text-align: left;"Her mother took her out of his arms, kissing her forehead softly. Judith was only two but she knew something was up, for one, her father wasn't there, two, something really scary was banging against the kitchen window and three, they were both packing up the food, clothes and bottles of water./p
p style="text-align: left;""Mommy, who that?" Judith pointed at the strange man who was currently packing her clothes, diapers, baby food and her pre school backpack. "That's your daddy's friend, Shane." Her mother smiled sadly./p
p style="text-align: left;"The man gave her a smile, tickling her feet gently. "Where daddy is?" She questioned, hugging her mother slightly tighter. Laurie and Shane's faces fell, Carl appeared at the bottom of the stairway with a bag on his back./p
p style="text-align: left;"No one answered Judith's question, Judith guessed he got hurt or something but she let go of it. Carl buckled her into her car seat, he pulled silly faces which made her giggle as they started to drive to Atlanta. Judith noticed many cars in front of them, heading towards a city before they stopped./p
p style="text-align: left;"Her mother picked her up from her car seat and walked towards a family of three. A little girl with short blonde hair was looking at Judith in awe "W-What's her name?" The girl asked Laurie shyly, Laurie smiled "This is Judith, what's your name?" The girl smiled "Sophia."/p
p style="text-align: left;"Judith signalled she wanted to be put down, which her mother obeyed "Sophia can you watch her?" Laurie asked politely, Sophia nodded holding Judith's hand gently./p
p style="text-align: left;"Judith walked along, her bunny pyjamas getting slightly dirty from the road. Sophia pulled her hand lightly, trying to get her to come back to her mom. Judith pulled her hand free before crawling away quickly, people eyed her with worried looks. She looked behind her to see her mother and Sophia's mother looking for her frantically. /p
p style="text-align: left;"She was picked up suddenly by a strange man who was smoking a cigarette "Spoiled brat, think you can run away without consequence?" His raspy voice was interrupted with a loud slap to the cheek./p
p style="text-align: left;"Judith wailed, holding her reddened cheek in pain. She saw her mother and Shane rushing towards her, while the smoking man slipped unnoticed back to his car. Judith continued sobbing has Laurie comforted her, "What happened sweetie?" Her mother asked, rubbing her sore cheek softly./p
p style="text-align: left;""Bad man hit me." Judith whimpered, as Shane drove them to a small clearing with eight other people./p
