Chapter 1 - Traffic Lights

(Rose's POV)

Smash. Glass shattered everywhere as I swiped everything out of the cupboard. His face was red and his blonde hair was tousled in every direction. He started my way.
"Get away from me!" I screamed, throwing another glass cup. This is actually happening. Why me? Why should I have to lose everyone left to right because of it? Everyday, where falling more and more apart? It's just not fair!
"Rose listen to me! Things will get better! You just need to . . ."
Tears started to run down my face, "NO! Things won't get better! I won't get better! This isn't something you can cure!" I shouted.
"Then pretend you're better!" he yelled, "Get off your lazy but and get a job and just . . . do something!"
I screamed, "I'm trying!"
"Well you're not trying hard enough!" he said, grabbing my arms as I fell to the floor.
I stepped on a piece of glass. Pain shot through my foot instantly, I tried not to flinch. "Let go of me!" I shouted, anger rising in my voice. He let go of me, letting me fall on to the glass covered floor. "Now GET OUT!" He looked at me, then turned and walked to the door, slamming it behind him.
Lying down on the cool kitchen floor, I realized what I had just done.
It's over.
