"Mr. Snape, What are you doing? You are suppose to be on your way home." Professor McGonagall said angrily. She had been on her way to her quarters and found Severus Snape in the corridor. "The other students are already on their way back to their homes, were it is safe." She continued when the Slytherin sixth year didn't respond. McGonagall sighed and said, "Come with me, Mr. Snape. You can floo back home." She grabbed Snape's arm and dragged him to the Headmaster's office. "Albus, it seems that Mr. Snape missed the notice that the train was leaving." McGonagall said as they entered the office. "Ah and he is in need of my fireplace?" Albus asked. "Yes." "Very well. Here you go Mr. Snape. You should go back to where it is safe." "But it isn't safe at home." Snape whispered as he got a handful of floo powder. He had disappeared from the fireplace before Albus or McGonagall had a chance to ask him meant.

"What do you think you are doing?" Tobias Snape demanded of his son, Severus. "Wh-wh-what d-do you mean?" Severus asked his father fearfully. "Why did you floo home instead of riding the train?" "N-no-no re-reason." Tobias grabbed his belt, raised it threateningly and said, "I guess I'm going to have to punish you until you tell me." He swung his belt and it landed with a loud smack as it hit Severus.
