neji basically cannon byakugan but instead of stopping chairs it stops aura so let's say he hits the arm with his gentlefist or weapon it can lose its shield and be vulnerable to attacks.

naruto will be cannon but a little smarter and I bit of a teasing side to him which he will mainly use on team rwby. he will also hate seeing fanaus be discriminated against. but will not like the white fang for the innocent lives they endanger.
sasuke cannon although feels great regret on becoming a criminal and falling to Beyonce and will try to redeem him self in the story
shikamaru cannon but will be trying to figure out how to return home but ultimately will figure out that there stuck and can't return
neji will act like in cannon
story they get when they get transported to remnant they will end up in the emerald forest about a month before the school year starts and will be surrounded by Grimm's and fight before being found by Pepin and questioned in which shikamaru will take charge in answering
they will go through the school year where you you will write about a bit of the classes and sprinkle a bit pov from team rwby naruto when they find out about Blake being a fanaus naruto will jump on board with helping her leaving his team behind who will help out the rest of team rwby with their search. you have to write important parts of cannon in the story so you can develop the characters. when the fall of beacon happens you can write it to your heart's consent but neji will die when it happens and you can choose how it happens and of course the team separates with sasuke becoming a spy by joining cinder.

naruto will have sorta girl problem where a lot of them like him and he likes them in a way those including Blake ,velvet,yang and ruby you can go down the harem path if you want although Blake is first priority if you but if not you can choose who you pair him with out of ththe list provided.
sasuke x emerald although will hate himself for falling for her with emerald also hating herself for falling for sasuke. while sasuke will also be trying to change her ways but she won't realise it.although sasuke will also have a small romance with Weiss to which you can entirely focus on but he would still be a double agent spying on cinder.
shikamaru won't have a chosen paring and you can choose but for fun he has fangirls which he also constantly calls troublesome. why does he have fangirls you ask well ask a prank naruto might of spread a rumour that shikamaru has an IQ over 200.
neji will be sort of a voice of reason with everyone so people will kinda respect him but because he will die in the story it will be big character development for other characters like when he died in cannon you can pair him if you want but I don't see him with any except maby winter. so do what you want.
