A/n This is my new Legend of the Seeker story. I've decided to make a whole new storyline with a new wizard, confessor and seeker. If I get something wrong please tell me…I hope you enjoy this story.
Scarlet POV
I ran and ran, fast as I could, scared for life.
"Wait!" the old man called who was chasing me on a horse. "I'm not going to hurt you!"
I shook my head and kept running. Then my torn dress got caught on a root and I feel. My ankle hurt and I couldn't stand. The man stopped the hours and hopped down from it.
I was terrified, I saw no weapon but I was still scared. He knelt down next to me. "Are you okay?" he asked.
"No thanks to you!" I said glaring. He sighed.
"I wasn't try to hurt you. I only want to talk, confessor." He said. I gasped.
"How did you know I was a confessor?"
"I've known since you were captured. 'Cause you wore that Rada'Han." He said. "First let me introduce myself. I'm Merlin (cause I couldn't think of a name), Wizard of the first Order. And you're Scarlet Amnell."
I stared at Merlin. "H..how?"
"I know more than you think." Merlin said. "But how isn't important. We need to find the seeker. A new evil is arising and a seeker needs to be named. "
"But the sword of truth, that was lost years ago, how are you going to name him without it?" I asked utterly confused. Merlin shook his head.
"I have the sword. I stole it a long time ago from the King waiting for the new seeker. If the King found the seeker he would use him for his own gain, not to defeat the new evil." He explained. "And the seeker need his wizard and confessor."
"Why can't you just find another confessor? Like the mother confessor?" I asked.
"Because, you are the only one for this quest, Scarlet, it was written on the walls of prophecy that the captured one would be the Seeker's confessor." Merlin said. "Now come, we have a lot of land to travel."
Author's POV
"No, Lucy!" I shouted. "Don't do that, the horse won't like that."
The little girl giggled. "Okay Author! Can you take me home now? It's getting late."
I nodded. "Climb onto Celeste." (Celeste is his horse)
I grabbed the horse's reins and led Lucy and her back to Lucy's house. I then climbed onto Celeste a road back home to my house.
By the time I got home it was past sunset and I instantly noticed something wrong with the house. The front door was cracked open a bit; I always made sure it was locked. I put Celeste in the stable and grabbed a shovel. I walked over to the front door and opened it more slowly. I looked around the house. Everything was dark, like I had left it.
Suddenly a hand was put on my mouth. I drew the shovel back and hit them with it. They dropped to the ground, unconscious. I turned around. In the moonlight I realized it was a girl. She had long brownish red hair, it was slightly curly. She wore a long white dress. Then I saw something in the trees. I narrowed my eyes but then gasped, the tree busted into flames! I held the shovel in front of me.
An old man emerged from behind the tree. He looked at me.
"I just want to talk." The old man said calmly. I didn't move the shovel.
"Who are you?" I demanded.
"My name is Merlin, wizard of the first order." He said. "And she-"he motioned to the girl on the ground. "Is a confessor."
I knew what that was. But why were they here? "Tell me your business!" I said. Merlin sighed.
"You are the next true seeker."
