Sydney Bristow grabbed her car keys off her coffee table. She pulled on her leather black sandals and slipped on her black blazer. She closed her eyes for a moment, Lauren died, she found out she was a project and she had Vaughn back. Could life get anymore complicated? Sydney walked toward the door and pulled it open. She closed it behind her and locked the door. She walked down to her black sports car and got in.
The CIA Headquarters was a little over 15 miles from her apartment. She drove in silence for a minute before tuning into the news station. She listened intently as traffic reports and movie star updates were gossiped over live air. She turned into a large parking lot; she stopped at a guards booth and showed her badge. She drove up onto the second floor and got out.
"Syd! Hey!" A voice called from the elevator. She quickly locked her door and hurried over to Vaughn.
"Hey," She smiled. He leaned down and kissed her. She was so happy to be back with Vaughn.
"I need some help. But, you need to swear that you can tell no one. I need to know something about me, about my past." She said slowly.
"Sure." Vaughn said. A wave of concern floated through his eyes.
"Vaughn, here, look at this." She handed him the files she handed him the files she had dreaded for the past week.
"Oh, Syd, you can't keep this a secret."
"Yes, I can, and I am going to, I trust you will too."
Sydney and Vaughn walked next to each other hand in hand as they made their way through the Los Angeles shopping Center. After 5 minutes of making Vaughn promise he finally agreed to keep the documents a secret.
"Let's go to my place, we'll have more privacy there," Sydney suggested.
"Okay," Vaughn said, kissing the top of her head.
They got into her car and started to drive away. A black SUV pulled out of a driveway.
"Syd. I think someone's following us."
"Okay." Sydney said and floored the gas. They sped away and sharply turned down an alley. The black SUV followed. Tuning sharply Sydney sped back toward the shopping center. Traffic. That's what Sydney was hoping for.
"Syd! WATCH OUT!" Vaughn cried the black SUV rammed them as Sydney tried to swerve in front of a red mini van.
"Get out!" Sydney cried. They leaped out and ran down the lines of traffic.
'God, I hope we make it out of this!' Sydney thought desperately. She heard the shouts of men and the beating down of her and Vaughn's shoes on the asphalt. Vaughn grabbed her hand and squeezed it as they ran down the lines of traffic; ignoring the curious stares of onlookers.
