I wrote this during class when I had free time (lol). It's just a little short story, hope you likey.

The vines separating my den from the rest of the camp rustled. I instantly recognized my brother Lionblaze, a golden furred tabby tom. Of course I didn't see him though. Nervousness and anticipation ruffled Lionblaze's pelt – which I could tell with my special power.

"Jayfeather?" Lionblaze asked my name. I turned around and set my sightless eyes on the location where he stood. I heard him fidget, and the sand shifted under his weight.

"What do you want?" I asked him quickly while I turned around and arranged my herb supplies.

"W-well," he stammered, "I-I needed to t-tell you something." My fur pricked with curiosity. Should I quickly probe his mind, I thought. I guess I'll just wait.

"Get on with it then," I snapped. Why was he being so slow? That's not like him at all!

"Uh, okay," he murmured. Suddenly he paused, and Thornclaw limped into my den. Gah! I want to know what Lionblaze has to say!

"Ow!" Thornclaw wailed. "Jayfeather I have a thorn in my pad!" I sighed drastically.

"Stop bellowing! ShadowClan will probably be able to-"

"Oww!" I quickly grabbed some marigold and cobwebs while Lionblaze watched. Mercilessly pulling the thorn out, I lapped the blood up and spat the marigold on it. Next, I pressed the cobwebs on to stop infection and bleeding. When I was done, Thornclaw limped out.

"So," I restarted the conversation, "What did you want to say?"

"I, uh, well," he mumbled.

"Get on with it!" I over-yelled. "Sorry," I added. Lionblaze looked down in my mind, scraping his claws on the sand. I instantly felt bad, I shouldn't have snapped like that at him.

"I'll just come out and say it," Lionblaze mewed confidently. "I lo-" He was interrupted once again by a screaming in the clearing. We raced out to see what was going on. "It's just the kits being a little too playful," Lionblaze remarked, completely annoyed.

"How about we go out into the forest," I mewed blandly. This time, padding to the lake, I hoped to see what Lionblaze had to say. The lake water sprayed out pelts; it felt relaxing after another day of scorching green-leaf.

"Finally, no more distractions!" Lionblaze exclaimed loudly. I wanted to tell you that…" He paused. He was building up tension and suspension which I couldn't bare.

"That?"

"I love Icecloud!" Right then and there, Icecloud, a newly made warrior with a blue-ish white pelt, padded out of the forest. I quickly probed both cats' minds. Lionblaze felt like he was on blazing fire because he was terrifyingly embarrassed. Icecloud, I could tell, had heard his remark about his feelings for her.

"Oh, Lionblaze, I love you too!" she mewed and touched noses with him. Sudden relief flowed into my brother. That is what he wanted to tell me?! At least it worked out.

6 moons later…

I walked into the mild-scented nursery. My brother, Lionblaze, and his mate Icecloud, lie side by side adoring their kits. Happiness flooded over me as I finally had nephews.

"Hello, Jayfeather," Lionblaze burst with pride. "Have you come to see the kits?" I felt like pointing out – like I have many times before – that I couldn't see, but who would want to spoil such a good moment? I nodded my head at the happy couple.

"Well, this one is a golden tabby like Lionblaze," Icecloud mewed. "We've decide to call him Sunkit."

"That's a wonderful name," I complimented.

"We have a dark gray she-kit also," Icecloud purred. "We've decided to name her Emberkit." I nodded.

"And this one is a white tom. We decided to name him Flakekit. He looks just like Icecloud except he has three brown paws," Lionblaze whispered affectionately. Leaning in closer to me he added, "We think he's blind, but I think you'll help him."

I smiled.

Center aligned it. Hope it's easier to read than that other alignment stuff. I ALSO EDITED IT, SO NOW THERE ARE THREE KITS.
