Don't own Golden Sun, believe it or not
Short Prolouge
Weyard was created millennia ago by mysterious and great beings, using raw alchemy they shaped the land and blessed it with the lives of the plants, animals and finally humanity the wardens of this world. The beings left the world alone as they always do, leaving the young Weyard to form as it pleased.
Humanity was a shadow of what they are today, savage creatures that where slaves to their passions and impulses, no thought of helping anyone other than themselves. Yet six people were born able to rise above this. Venus from the desert tribes of Lalivero. Mercury a skilled healer from the clans in the frozen land of Imil. Jupiter, from the Anemos tribe. Mars, from the fierce warring Prox Clans. Sol from the small settlement of Vale. Luna, born to the roaming Nomads of the Tundria Islet. Through fate or otherwise the six met, and together set out to change the world.
They laid down the building blocks of civilisations, Law, Writing, Maths and Medicine. Yet they also possessed another gift, with immense concentration the six could manipulate the elements with their will. Four could control the earthly matter of either fire, water, earth or wind, While the other two controlled the more celestial forces of the sun and moon. Soon their teachings spread all across Weyard and civilization prospered. Science, culture and justice flourished under the Adepts guidance.
Yet the Adepts still grew in power, soon it became too much for their mortal flesh. They decided, through the use of powerful and dangerous alchemy to remove their soul from their physical body. Each returned to their respective homeland to perform the ritual.
The act would change Weyard forever. For when their soul left the constraints of a mortal body their alchemy also left. Each Adepts psyenergy formed great beacons, which radiated the power of the elements. These where the power source of these flesh-free adepts. Soon they were worshipped as Gods, each one ruling the world and guiding Humanity. They ordered that towers to protect the beacons were to be constructed, which would be later known as lighthouses. They tied Weyard, the world to alchemy. While tis bond increased the lands productivity it also had a terrible burden. For Weyard was not reliant on alchemy, Alchemy's fate was Weyard's fate for evermore.
Yet Weyards peace was not to last. Other Gods would join the pantheon, there would be Moloch, Atlanta, Thor, Boreas and many others. Yet they would squabble amongst themselves and send cities to war against each other to sort out their disputes. Yet humanity put up with this until the original Six Gods got into a terrible schism and raised huge armies into a war that killed thousands and cleft a car on Weyard.
After a fragile peace had been restored the cities feared another war like the one before and met in secret to hold a council. After much debate it was decided that the gods power source, the beacons would be sealed away. The Gods would be banished for a time so Weyard could heal without their interference. It was argued by some that Weyard would suffer and stagnate without Alchemy. They got the answer that Alchemy will suffer with it.
So the Gods where sealed away, waiting for the day where they will be freed. Waiting, always waiting.
Well this is a rewrite of my first fic ever, which was dreadful with horrible writing. This prolouge would be a LONG chapter in my old fic, yes it was that bad.
