Title: What Lies Beneath
Author: Tu
Email: Any
Series/Sequel:
Crossover: Stargate Sg1/ JAG or JAG/Stargate Sg1
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I do not own SG1 or Jag. If I did many of the main male characters would suddenly disappear then come back very, very, rumpled.
Author's Notes: I always felt that Clayton Webb got a raw deal on JAG. I mean the man had to have SOME friends. Comments are always welcome. Flames will be used to dry the paint on the walls..Somewhere.
Harm Rabb and his partner Sarah MacKenzie sat on the plane fuming. How had Clayton Webb talked them into doing this? Better yet, how had Webb talked the Admiral into letting them do this? All they knew was that there was a situation that needed the best lawyers the Military had to offer.
Clayton Webb sat two rows in front of the fuming couple. He had slipped onto the plane before they boarded and hoped to remain unseen until it landed. He knew that at this very moment Harm wanted to kick his ass and Sarah wanted to help him. Clayton knew that he was going way beyond the perimeters of the CIA's involvement with the "Blue Book Project", but this was about family. While most would say that he had no heart, Clayton knew he could never leave HER out to dry. As the plane touched down in Colorado Springs to take on more passengers, Clayton waited for HER to boarded. It had taken some work but she would be on this flight.
SG1 made their way on to the plane. No Military Transport plane this time, just a good old everyday commercial flight. As General Hammond had explained, Someone was watching every move the SGC made and putting them on a Military plane would have sent up a lot of red flags they didn't need right now.
"Here we are." Daniel called back to them as he found their seats. He and Teal'c were seated in front of a man and woman who looked angry. Both had the look and bearing of Military officers, thought neither was in a uniform. Sam and Jack had the seats in front of them.
As Sam stowed Jack and her bags in the overhead compartment, she looked at the man in the row ahead of her.
"Clayton?" she asked in disbelief.
"Hello, Sammy." Clayton said looking up at his favorite cousin.
Sam squealed as she flung herself into his arms. She hugged him with all her might. It had been almost ten years since she had last seen her childhood partner in crime.
Clayton smiled as Sam threw herself into his arms. He hugged her back fiercly. He knew she had no idea just what was about to happen.
"Clay, it is so good to see you." Sam said plopping down in his lap.
"Carter?"
Clayton looked up at the man stairing down at the two of them. If looks could kill, Clay thought, he'd be dead. The man looked as if Clay had taken his favorite toy away.
"Sir," Sam said jumping up, "This is my cousin Clayton Webb. Clay, Colonel Jack O'Neill. Dr. Daniel Jackson and Te..Murry"
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Webb. Carter doesn't talk much about her family." Jack said crushing Claytons hand in his.
Clayton smiled. So this was the famous Jack O'Neill. He could see why his uncle Jacob was worried. Clayton nodded and shook hands with Daniel and Murry. He swallowed and put on a smile when Harm glared at him.
