The thickness of the air pressed down on his lungs, squeezing the breath out of him, denying him oxygen. His swung his arm up, scrambling for a place for purchase. He gripped at a piece of wood, and clung on but the rubble broke and fell away, hurtling to the ground. He heard a faint yell and stupidly snapped his head around in time to see the angry orange flames claim the body of his friend. With new resolution Draco began scratching at the tables and chairs hauling himself up, the violent heat lapping at his feet. He grabbed roughly onto an unstable length of wood just as it snapped and fell into the abyss. Draco stumbled and with a terrified scream he lost his foot and began to fall in after the wood. A woosh of wind sounded in his ears, and he closed his eyes, resigned to die, when suddenly a strong, calloused hand grabbed around his wrist and roughly tugged him upwards. His survival instincts came to life and he scrambled up the arm finding himself swung onto the back of a broom. He wrapped his arms around the waist in a vice grip and buried his face into the mop of beautiful black hair and began shuddering despite the heat that still threatened to suffocate him. They began to climb upwards when a sharp tug made his eyes snap open and the warm body that had just saved his life disappeared from his arms. Draco made a swipe at the air, franticly trying to grab hold of him. His hands gripped empty air, and his seeker instincts made them fall back into place around the handle of the broom. He looked down to see a pair of glistening green eyes wide open in terror being swallowed by the flames, screams of Draco lingering in the air. A grief filled sob escaped his mouth and his lungs began to fill with thick grey smoke.

Draco's eyes flew open and he jerked up in bed coughing and spluttering, sobs sounding from his throaght, tears screaming down his face, sweat running down his body and shouts of 'Draco' ringing in his ears. Familiar strong arms hastily wrapped around his waist and dragged him down to his chest bringing his head to rest underneath his chin and he immediatley began running his fingers through Draco's hair.

"Shh, shh, its okay Draco. Its not real, its not real."

"I love you Harry." Was all he managed to choak out in reply.
