Brooke lay back in bed, Peyton's head in her lap, as the morning sunshine came inside from their bedroom window. She stroked the blonde's hair gently, still surprised every time by how soft it always was. She sighed, looking out of the window and then down at Peyton.
"You know, Peyton," she started. The blonde's eyes turned to the side to see Brooke looking down at her. They both smiled. "You're like my little teddy bear, you know?" Peyton chuckled at this.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"It's just…. I love you so much. I can never get enough of you and if I had no other choice in my entire life, or even for the rest of eternity, but to be with you and just lay together, just us, I'd be totally okay with that. It's like, every time I see your face, especially in the mornings or after I've just had a shit day, it reminds me of that and I just smile. You make me smile no matter what and I just love it." At this point, Peyton almost wanted to cry, the words Brooke spoke so sweet and endearing it almost hurt. She sat up for a moment, supporting her weight awkwardly on her arm, and leaned up to press a loving kiss to Brooke's lips. The kiss didn't break for a while, but it remained gentle and sweet for its entire duration.
"I love you too, Brooke," she said, and kissed the brunette one more time before laying back down in the girl's lap. "I love you so much, too."
