The Long Patrol marched through the Lands of Ice and Snow towards the vermin villages. They were
going to wipe out these evil, slave holding vermin and their families once and for all. The overweight
herbivores rounded the bend to see a large force of rats, stoats, weasels, ferrets, and foxes standing in
the mountain pass, blocking the way to the settlements. The hares readily performed their favored
battle tactic; the direct frontal charge. Eulalia! The lagomorphs surged forward and the carnivores
started launching arrows, sling stones, and javelins at the invaders. Several were killed or injured by the
volley. The red coated invaders then crashed into the vermin's skalborg and were halted in their
advance. The mustelids, canids, and muridaes then retaliated with axes, swords, spears, and all manner
of blunt weapons. The leader of the hares, a tall sable coated fellow and boxing hare, proceeded to
punch a ferrets shield, striking the conical boss. Ahhh!, he screamed as his paw broke in several places.
The ferret, chuckling at the hares stupidity, promptly thrusted his langseax into his stomach. The rest of
the hares continued to attack, but to no avail. The "vermin" returned to their villages and drank to
victory in their mead halls.
