The announcer began to count down. The two fighters stood on opposite sides of final destination. One the embodiment of light, and the other the killer of light. Palutena thought about how Bayonetta had thrown herself at Ike. She knew that she had to win. "Auto Reticle!" She shouted, flinging bullets of light at the Umbra Witch. Bayonetta easily dodged them. Bayonetta smirked at the goddess. "So close" She laughed at the green haired woman.
Palutena saw red, and swung her staff at Bayonetta. Bayonetta turned into a flock of bats and flew around Palutena. Palutena closed her eyes and focused. When Bayonetta began to materialize, the goddess swung her shield into the Witch's chest. Bayonetta's eyes widened as she crumbled. "Still laughing now, bitch?" Palutena growled before launching a massive laser of light into the witch. Bayonetta flew into the ground with a thud, the whole stage shaking.
Bayonetta coughed as she got up, wiping blood from the corner of her lip. "Had enough yet?" Palutena asked while levitating slightly, her angelic wings stretching out from behind her. Bayonetta let out a laugh, narrowing her eyes at the goddess. "I've always wanted to crush a goddess. Commanding all those pesky angels while they sat on their asses sipping tea. You're just the right cheeky brat for the job!" Palutena furrowed her brows as she charged up her next attack. She may of appeared physically younger than the witch, but in reality she was much older than Bayonetta.
"Super Speed!" Palutena yelled, a flash of light enveloping her petite frame while she charged at Bayonetta. Bayonetta cartwheeled over the goddess, before landing in a headstand. She launched magical bullets from the guns on her heels, each one striking Palutena. The goddess cried out in pain, before creating a magical barrier to block the rest. Bayonetta ran at the goddess, before launching a powerful kick enveloped in blue flame, effectively breaking the barrier. Palutena's eyes widened, before the explosive kick connected with her face. She flew back, clawing at her face in agony.
"My sincerest apologies" Bayonetta laughed, taking joy in the goddesses pain. Palutena swung her staff underneath Bayonetta, causing the demon summoner to fall. Palutena took the opportunity to slam Bayonetta into the ground. Bayonetta gasped as Palutena finished the onslaught with a light charged kick to her abdomen. The dark haired woman fell to her knees, clutching her injured side. Palutena teleported a distance away, before doing a taunting pole dance on her staff.
"Pretty good for an endangered species." Bayonetta said, beginning to stand up and mock clap. Palutena glared at her holding her staff out. She began to charge a light beam, before Bayonetta yelled "Witch Time!" Palutena's vision grew a strange shade of violet, as all of her movement slowed. "Let's hit the climax!" Bayonetta yelled while delivering a sliding heel kick into Palutena's stomach. She then launched upwards covering her body in blue energy, damaging the green haired woman in the process.
She then delivered two afterburner kicks into the frail goddess, before grabbing her by her long green hair, and throwing her into the ground. Palutena screamed in agony, her whole body on fire as she hit the pavement. Bayonetta landed next to her. A purple spell circle appeared underneath Palutena, causing her to gasp in surprise. A humungous demon limb punched her into the sky, causing her to fall off of the stage. "The winner is… Bayonetta!" The announcer yelled into the mic. The arena erupted into cheers at the victory of the witch. Bayonetta struck a pose, winking and holding her guns out while doing the splits.
