Reading minds can be fun, and annoying. Sometimes I would go sit in a park just to listen to people. I loved hearing what adults said about me in their mind. Today I was bored. Emmett and Jasper were hunting, Alice was shopping, and Carlisle and Esme were on their second honeymoon. That left me and Rosalie. I didn't really want to hang out with her, so I left her with her mirrors and I went to the park.
I sat down on a bench, and pretended to be occupied with a book. I could hear the thoughts of everyone around me.
Oh wow! Look at that man. I wonder if he's single.
I need to find a babysitter for Friday. I hope Alyssa is available.
I can't believe he left me for that woman. I need to get those papers signed soon.
Oh my god! Last night was amazing! I can't believe he proposed!
I can't believe I forgot her birthday. I think its next week. What should I get her?
Edward!
Edward? Who could be calling my name. I turned around and saw Alice standing behind me.
"Look what I bought for Esme!" she squeaked.
"Oh, its very nice. Uh, what is it?" I asked.
"It's a feather duster cleaner!" She laughed
"You got her a cleaner to clean her cleaner?"
I racked her brain for answers, but she was singing the national anthem in Chinese.
"Come on! Carlisle and Esme are coming back tonight. We should surprise them at home!"
"Okay."
As she sped down the highway in her Porsche she kept singing in different languages.
"What's going on Alice?"
"Nothing."
As we walked in the door. I was shocked by a
"SURPRISE!"
I forgot it was my birthday.
Hope you liked this. I'm going to keep it a oneshot.
