A POT drabble…
The whole prince of tennis world and its characters do not belong to me but to Konomi Takeshi.
Please forgive any grammar mistakes since English is not my native language. The story takes place after the match against Masaharu Niou during National Finals so if you only follow the anime or do not have read the manga until this moment yet, be warned there are spoilers.
Even as he asks Tezuka for a rematch, Fuji knows.
He knows of Niou's mistakes. "The King of Swindlers" could have won the match even if the tensai had been serious about it after his defeat in the semifinals. It was clever to use Tezuka's form and tennis but Shiraishi's perfect tennis was an oversight on the part of the Rikkai Dai's player. Fuji had already processed the way the Shitenhouji student plays. Then, there is his refusal to even acknowledge the fact the tensai could not have created another counter since that match. It never bode well to underestimate the skills of one Fuji Syusuke.
The thing is, Fuji knows, Niou had forgotten one player who had the ability to challenge him. Fuji watches him walk away and remembers.
The rain….
A court….
An unfinished match….
Fuji knows, as he knows him and Tezuka have a promise to fulfill, that they have an unsettled matter at 4 games to 3 to care of.
Just for the thrill….
Et voila! This is not much but I do think the match against Niou would have been more interesting if he had taken ochibi's appearance. And I am a fan of Fuji and of the thrill pair as a yaoi pairing.
Read and review (critics are welcome as long as they are developed not just a "you suck because you're a yaoi fangirl")…
