Hi guys! So this is a little one-shot I wrote a while before I became a member here. Mostly mother-son fluff. Anyway, on with the story! I don't own Phineas and Ferb. Disney does.

Phineas' point of view

"Come on! We have to get to the panic room!" my mom yelled as the men in black approached the house.

"Mom, they're professional criminals! They'll think to look for a panic room! I have a safer place! Follow me!" I yelled, grabbing her hand with one hand, and picking up Perry, my pet platypus, with the other.

"Phineas, there's nowhere safer than the panic room!" mom yelled back, pulling me to the garage.

We were the only ones at home. Dad and Ferb were at the movies and Candace was with Jeremy.

"Mom, just trust me."

At that she started to follow me. Glad she was finally cooperating I pulled her outside to the tree.

"Why are we at the tree?! That's not safe at a-" she stopped herself as she watched me push in part of the tree opening a door.

"What the…" she whispered.

I looked down at Perry, who was giving me a stern look. To anyone else, besides Ferb, this would look odd on the "mindless" platypus' face but Ferb and I had discovered last year that the platypus was a secret agent and had been made to promise to keep it a secret. I had kept that promise till now, when our lives depended on breaking it.

"Don't give me that look, Perry." I said as I quickly led mom in the elevator and closed the door.

As we moved downward, I set Perry on the ground and he stood on his hind legs while putting his fedora on. We reached the lair and I led mom inside .

"What is going on here?" mom half screamed.

"… Perry is a secret agent, mom. We're in his lair. It's the safest place" I said, looking down.

Perry nodded.

"Why didn't you tell us?!" mom sounded hurt.

"Because we couldn't. If we did then-"

"Hang on, 'we'? Who's 'we'?" she interrupted me.

"Ferb and I. We both knew. Now, as I was saying, if we told you, then Perry would be relocated, or we would have our memory erased. The only reason that didn't happen when we found out was because we promised to keep it a secret." I said, a hint of depression in my voice.

It was only when mom bent down and wiped the tears off my face that I realized I was crying.

"I'm sorry for yelling. I understand now. You did the right thing, sweetie."

"So, you promise not to tell anyone?" I asked hopefully.

Mom bent down and pulled me into a hug.

"Promise"

There you go! Sorry if it sucked, just wanted to get it off my mind. I really feel like more people should write mother-son fluff stories more often. As usual, please no cursing in the comments. God bless!
