It's been over a week that the mage was on the run, He knew the chantry was looking for him and he knew all the ways to avoid them… He had been avoiding them his whole life as it was.. Whats a little longer?
He was running from templars, he was an abomination.. a Maleficar, the worst possible thing you could be in the eyes of the chantry… And they found him where he had slept in a dirty back ally in Orlais… He had to run, they were going to kill him if they caught him…. The fear spread through his entire body as he came across a dead end and turned back to see a group of four templars coming his way.. they backed him into a corner and he couldn't see any way out… Until Vengeance reared his ugly head…. He fell to his knees as he felt his head spin around in a daze, a searing pain through his entire body as his hands caught on fire and he was no longer in control of what he was doing… "YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE" The words come out of his mouth but they are not in his voice, they are in the voice of hate… The voice of Rage… "YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR CRIME" He screamed out as fire burned the Templars alive… the screams etched into his memories.. The pain stopped and he collapsed in exhaustion… He crawled over to the ashes of the templars.. His eyes burn from the heat still coming in waves off the ground around them but also from tears that weren't going to come out… He was not in control anymore, and he was terrified.
Three years had past since that dreadful experience in the back ally of Orlais, Anders had not had any experience with Vengeance since that day and he couldn't have been more cheerful about it, He felt like a normal person again.. Like himself, who he used to be when he was playing games with the templars at the mage tower. There was one Templar in particular that was always nice to him no matter what he did. That was nice, and it was nice to have those memories back, Vengeance had been clouding his mind for so long that he didn't know he could ever have a positive memory about being at The Circle Tower or a positive thought about the templars.
Sebastian was looking for him, and he had been for a very long time but Anders had so far successfully avoided a confrontation with him, Anders thought about the events at kirkwall for years, they haunted his memories and dreams and he woke screaming every night.. It didn't help that the spirits of those he killed were there with him when he entered the fade in his sleep, They were so sad, and so lost… and he couldn't help them, He was a terrorist. Blindly destroying the lives of hundreds for a cause he believed in…. He was still confused as to why Hawke let him live.. She should have killed him right there on the spot … But she let him live, she let him run.
And for what? He had been running from Templars his entire life, and the past few years had been no different… He heard about a year ago that a woman by the name of Cassandra who worked as a seeker for The Chantry was asking around about Hawke and someone that Anders had not thought about in years…. Natalia, The hero of the blight…. and the love of his life
