The land of Hyrule was no stranger to peril.

Every race in the kingdom would suffer the consequences of war, no matter how diverse..

No matter how different, how distant.

And during times of war, the people of Hyrule usually fell..

Scattered, succumbed to chaos..

But this time, a certain military commander wouldn't allow it..

A soldier from the most unexpected race of Hyrulians..

At least, the most unexpected to cry out for unity among the races.

Deep within the spiraling barbed-wire fences and heavy security of Hyrule's western desert lay a fortress, a tight build of clay-and-stone that housed possibly the most proud people of the entire kingdom, a society of fierce, fiery-haired women that weren't a force to be tampered with..

These were the women of the Gerudo tribe, all female with the exception of one male born to them every one hundred years.

It had been a few years now since the ousting of their former King, a corrupt and vile excuse for a leader, and they were lead by the Sage Nabooru, a noble and intelligent desert woman.

After the king Ganondorf's fall, she had returned to the desert to repair the mental and social damage the tyrant had left behind on his own tribe, beginning their rebirth by promoting the third-in-command to military captain and overseer of the fortress in her sagely absence.

The name of this young woman was Naniarii Shehaani, daughter of Yadira Shehaani.

A girl in her early twenties, with long, red hair the shade of a cherry's flesh, and glimmering, golden eyes, Naniarii was a born leader, picking the fortress up and transforming the Gerudo in a matter of years, raising them from Ganondorf's hateful brainwashing to accepting, fair, and open-minded individuals, even more proud of their culture than before.

The prostitution of the Gerudo women had dropped dramatically, and they began to respect themselves as human beings, empowering one another rather than competing to bed the highest of Hylian knights.

Education had become a staple in the training of young Gerudo girls, teaching them every tongue of the kingdom, from the near-extinct language of the forest, to the elegant speech of the Hylians.

The social rise of the Gerudo, however, did not help much in their relations with the other races.

With pride came arrogance, and with arrogance came prejudice, and it was a flaw that would never leave the desert tribe.

The Hylians were no less proud, causing a rift between themselves and their dark-skinned allies, with no help from Ganondorf this time.

Naniarii, however, still maintained a formal relationship with the head of the Hylian Guard, meeting with him whenever trouble stirred the kingdom's sense of security.

And that was just where Captain Shehaani was headed, as she flew across Hyrule Field on her dark stallion, flaming red hair flying and heart pounding with anxious uncertainty..

For Hyrule had yet again been threatened..

And this time, it was by their allies in the north:

The people of the kingdom Grythorn.

By the Divine, Captain Shehaani would help arm the Hylian people if needed, may the rift be damned.

After all, she was a Hyrulian, and the Hyrulian people stick together, no matter what the race..

And it would begin on that very day, the moment she set foot into Castletown.
