"Hey Terra…" Ven began. "Your shoe-laces are untied." He pointed.
"What?" Terra blinked. "I don't ha-"
"Make sure you don't trip." Ven pointed out. "Untied shoe-laces are the number one cause of tripping!"
Terra raised an eyebrow. "I'm wearing boots, Ven."
Ven shot Terra a look like: 'C'mon, you and I both know your shoe-laces are untied here.' like he was being the crazy one here!"
Terra lowered his eyebrows in frustration and began to sit down on the grass next to Ven. His legs extending out as far as they could go, and he leaned over to look at his shoes.
"Nope. No laces." He repeated, shrugging with his arms in the air.
"You're problem, bro. Not mine." Ven gave a shrug back before lying down on the grass, his arms crossed behind his head.
Terra rolled his eyes and repeated Ven's movements, now laying on the grass as well.
Silence.
Ven turned his head toward Terra for a quick moment, giving him this sly look that made Terra's insides boil with fury and then… he just turned his head away. Like nothing. Staring at the sky.
So innocent.
As if nothing were going on here.
Terra huffed in anger and sat back up, leaning over to his shoes again searching for any hidden laces he may have missed.
No dice.
"Did you tie 'em yet?"
"I have no shoe-laces!" Terra exclaimed, lifting his foot in the air. "You're crazy!"
"What's with the shouting?" Aqua asked, walking over with three glasses of lemonade she offered to make for the boys only a few minutes ago.
Handing each boy their glass as they sat up, she took a sly sip out of hers, staring at red-faced Terra playfully above her glass.
"I told you he'd freak out." Ven laughed, falling back down onto the grass bursting with laughter.
Aqua joined in on that laughter, giggling behind her glass.
Terra angrily stood silent.
He knew he didn't have shoe-laces.
