Doing everything alone

I'm going in.

It made him crazy. I'm going in. The I. Ziva always said it. Like she was alone. Completely alone on this planet, with nobody to help her. With nobody to be at her side. She had a partner. Him. He cared about her. He didn't want her to do this alone. He would help her out of every misery. He had rescued her out of Somalia. Stupid argument. She wouldn't even count it as an argument. You shouldn't have to. This was her standard answer. Alone. It made him freaking out. But that was Ziva's thing. This was her way. She always did everything alone. She didn't ask for help. She didn't ask him. This was a damn Mossad thing. He didn't want to change her. He loved her the way she was. Killing people with credit cards, her second home; the men's room, her smile, the sparkling in her eyes. Ziva became very American in the last few months. But this "doing-everything-alone"-thing couldn't get away. She had learned the idioms very well; damn Werth had almost destroyed this. Damn, he was jealous. Jealous of a former marine. He was jealous. He hated every guy who was flirting with her. This stupid detective. Ziva always flirted with them too. He tried to stop thinking about these guys. He couldn't. Mission Impossible. Great movie with Tom Cruise. He had seen all 3 movies. But back to the point: He wanted her to stop this "doing-everything-alone"-thing. But how?

No. We're going in.

It made her crazy. We're going in. She knew that Tony cared about her. She knew that he wanted to help her. She knew all this. But she didn't need help. She didn't need this knight in the shining armor. She was a young, though strong woman. She had learned to manage everything alone. This was a thing she had kept from her work for the Mossasd. It was a part of her personality. And even Tony couldn't change her personality. Her character. The things that made her to the person she was. But she knew he would rescue her out of every … What was the word for it? Misery. Yes, misery was the right word. He always said he would. do it. He never let her forget it. His example was Somalia. You shouldn't have to. That was her usual answer. Maybe it was good that he thought like that. But it was completely wrong at the same moment. It made her freaking out. But that was Tony's thing. He wanted to be the shining knight for her. That was what she thought. She hoped it was right. Tony as her personal hero. This was a good thought. She didn't know how long he would wait for her. Tony tolerated all the flirting and the guys. And Damon… He was jealous, but he gave her space. This was very… unTony-like of him. She had expected that he would be more jealous. He didn't want to push her in any way. this was a very big thing for him. He had changed so much. She should give him a chance. But she wouldn't make a compromise: Tony would get the Ziva she was… With the attitude, character and every mistake.
