AN: Howdy readers, To you who do not know call me Aicutora. I'm a new writer who is trying her hand at fan fiction. But instead of cluttering her profile up with random one-shots. I decided to make this, as I call it, the melting pot. a place where I will post my Naruto and Fullmetal snippets instead of wasting space. So read enjoy and please leave me a review telling me what you think. Thanks!
War
The silence was oppressing. The way it pressed into the train seemed to choke the very life out of the men. Silencing even the loudest of mouths. The men shifted every now and again their stiff uniforms making them uncomfortable. The presence of a higher up was not helping the current depressed mood.
Not that the colonel was even paying them any attention. No his onyx eyes were trained on the figure before him and he couldn't help but wonder how they came to be in this situation.
As the commanding officer of his team. He had always done everything in his power to keep his team safe. To make sure that his subordinates always made it home in one piece. And when it came to the Elric brothers he was very careful were he put them. Always away from the conflict. Never near any fighting. Which was becoming increasingly hard with the elder brother's knack for attracting all kinds of trouble.
But he guessed that came as a result of researching the most powerful stone in the world.
But not even all his planning could have stopped King Bradley himself from walking into his office and ordering his team to the front line of the newest advancement platoon . Now he could only watch as the people he so desperately protected were sent to what was almost promised to be an early death. But at least he was sent with them.
Even if he had to die he would protect them.
But as he looked at the smallest of his subordinates before him . He couldn't help but feel a pang at how young he looked. So small even when he wore that long red overcoat now in his blue military uniform he looked down right puny.
And the good bye between Fullmetal and his brother Alphonse was almost heartbreaking. Only made worse by the tears Winry had shed for the both of them. But now they were on the train. Crammed into a train cart with two benches lined down the walls. Shoved in with thirty other men.
At least their was one comfort for them in this small depressing place. The team was together and they would stay that way. So swears the Flame Alchemist.
