Vulcan

"I did what you asked of me," a feminine voice edged with bitterness called softly to the empty streets. She wrapped her cloak a bit tighter, the ends brushing the debris of ash and burnt rubble strewn amongst the remains of a cobblestone street. She ventured further, slowly, the clacking of her boots indicating that this void of nothing truly existed. She swallowed.

"It's all gone, all of it," she announced, motioning to the ruins of a once great city stretching back into the hills colored black with ash. She rested a gloved hand against a lone pillar, broken and jagged, pot-marked with blasts, and lowered her head.

"Do you see it? Do you see it?" she gasped, pushing herself away from the pillar and staggering into the middle of the street, throwing the hood of the cloak from her head revealing hair of gold and a pair of flashing ruby eyes. Her hair loosened and swirled out from under the cloak, flashing curled tips of deep crimson as she sought acknowledgement from the darkened skies.

"I killed them all, like you asked me to! Like I will continue to do for you!" She unlatched her cloak, throwing it down at her feet, allowing her dead world to see her Sailor collar. "Now deliver me your promise, Chaos! Deliver me your power!"

"I hear you, Hephaestus of Vulcan," a deep voice boomed from everywhere and nowhere, echoing off the demolished structures and empty streets, "I will keep my promise to you."

A blast of light shattered the skies, leaving a small orb in its wake. Its blue glow washed upon Sailor Vulcan as it descend into her outstretched hands. "The Saffer Crystal," Vulcan breathed overturning the blue stone in her fingers relishing the energy pulsating in her hands.

Vulcan reached for her golden brooch tied firmly with a red ribbon, tracing the etched lines symbolizing her homeworld along the surface of the brooch. "Hephaestus," the voice returned, commanding her with the sharpness of its tone. She closed her eyes, then ripped the brooch from her chest, the red and golden uniform erupting into transparent ribbons before retreating into the safety of the discarded Sailor Crystal.

Hephaestus pressed the Saffer Crystal against her bare breast, feeling the warm glow spread through her veins and out the ends of her body leaving the weight of gold upon her figure, bracelets clasped on each wrist. "I have forged a new self and will forge a new future," she announced as a golden helm materialized in her hands, "From here on I will be known as Sailor Galaxia." She swept her long wavy hair inside her helmet and placed it firmly atop her head.

"May the galaxies cry for salvation."

AN: In canon, Galaxia was probably always known as Galaxia and didn't meet Chaos until after she had left her homeworld. I've decided to rework a bit of her history since...it'll be more fun this way? Er... Anyway! Hephaestus is the Greek God of a long list of things, but is best known as a blacksmith in mythology and was disregarded by his mother, Hera, for being disfigured. His roman counterpart is Vulcan. I figured that since Galaxia wears gold and has an army of metal related minions, plus she considered herself unsatisfactory from an unsatisfactory planet before she obtained the Saffer Crystal, Hephaestus would be a good fit for her.
