This is a poem in which Alice pretends to have a conversation with the character Alice from Alice's Adventures in wonderland while in the asylum. I have had this idea in my mind for about a week now and I finaly desided to write it. And then the web site was not allowing me to upload it so i looked through poems with the keywords "Alice" and "asylum" and I ended up reseaching American McGee's Alice by the end of that I was thinking that is so creepy that I would write this then discover that. Anyway on with the poem.
Alice did they
Alice from wonderland did they call you crazy?
They call I, Alice from Biloxi, that.
Alice the cat said you were mad,
The doctors call me the same thing.
Alice did your parents send you away?
Mine decided to a few years ago.
Alice did they poke you with needles?
As they do to me now.
Alice did your sister cry?
Mine did when they took me away.
Alice did they tell you to stop your dreams?
Like they me to.
Alice did they tell you cute story when you explained?
They told me that at first.
Alice did they say what you dreamt was false?
Like they told me before it came to pass.
Alice did they pretend to be your friends?
They attempt to do that now.
Alice did no one save you?
Like no one has saved me.
Alice did you know one day you would be loved?
I know Jasper will but I must wait .
Alice did some one other than the queen want you dead?
The list for me grows longer every day.
Alice did everyone want to study your brain?
They feel it is critical to study mine.
Alice did they lock you in a dark hole?
I am losing sanity due to mine.
Alice did they take your brown hair?
Like they took my black.
Alice did they tell you the rabbit was not real?
Like they tell me Jasper is not.
Alice did they say you followed the devil because you were young with deathly dreams?
They told me this and more.
Alice did they run from you?
They are scared and run from me
Alice were you terrified?
I am.
Alice did every one leave you?
Like they left me.
Alice did you want to escape?
I am too weak to attempt.
Alice did you spend your time grasping sanity?
I think my grip is loosening.
Alice did you spend your time in thought?
I do to keep myself company.
