Tears were not part of the plan to get Peter back. But seeing him here now made Olivia's eye fill with tears. Something was wrong. He wasn't acting like Peter. Was he really that mad? Wasn't he even a little bit happy to see her?

"No, I don't belong here. But I don't belong there either." He said, still cold.

Why was he thinking this way? He did belong and he needed to come home. He needed to take care of Walter. He needed to help them battle the bizarre evils they faced every day. She could have listed a thousand reasons. But the most important thing to Olivia, and the one thing she could never verbalize, was that Twith "ifs" and "maybes." Those words could haunt a person for a long, long time.

"Yes, you do, Peter, you do belong. You should know that."

"I was never meant to be there. Walter's interference brought me there in the first place."

Olivia was literally biting her lip trying not to show him that he was hurting her.

"Peter…you have to come home."

"Technically, this is my home."

"Home is more than a place." Home is with me. Olivia waited but Peter said nothing. "Home is with the people who love you, Peter. And no matter what Walter's mistakes were, he does love you. I don't think you understand how you have prefered to grow up here? Become evil? You'd be a different man. You wouldn't be you. What about Astrid? She's home in the other universe waiting to see if we can bring you back. She'd be horrified to know that you don't want to leave. And what about me, Peter? What about me? Don't I count for anything? I…" she stopped.

"And my mother, Olivia? Both of them?" he said quietly.

"I don't know…I don't know."

He turned away for a few minutes and seemed to be deep in thought. It felt like hours, but eventually he said,

"You know that other Olivia is nothing like you." He smiled.

Olivia gave a little smile, in response to Peter's.

"Is that a good or bad thing?"

"I don't know. But she made me miss you even more than I already did."

"Damnit." She thought. And she had been doing such a good job of not crying.

Peter stepped closer and ran a hand through her hair.

"And before we go home, you should really ask her what possessed her to go red."

Olivia laughed and wrapped her arms around Peter's neck.

"I missed you so much." She said.

"I know, I missed you, too." He felt her tears on his neck, and he squeezed her tighter, "Sh, it's okay. I'm so sorry, Olivia. I'm so sorry." Tears came to his eyes, too, thinking of the pain he had caused her and Walter.

"I'm sorry. It's gonna be okay now. It's okay." He couldn't think of anything else to say.

Olivia reluctantly pulled away.

"We have to go."

"Let's roll, baby."

Walter would've loved that one. Thought Olivia. And out they ran to find Walter.
