It was early on the day of travel to Hogwarts and Scott Sugden, a short, thin, first year with spiked blonde hair, was very nervous about leaving his parents for such a a whole year. He had lots of friends at his old school but only knew a few people that would be in his year at Hogwarts. He had met one boy, who he could see just about to enter platform 9 ¾, in the pet shop in Diagon Alley when they were both purchasing there owls.
It was a mad rush when Scott and his parents finally made it on to platform 9 ¾ because there were so many people on the platform and the Hogwarts Express was scheduled to leave in just 4 minutes. Scott spotted the boy he had met previously in the pet shop sitting next to a window waving ecclesiastically at his parents. Scott gave his parents 1 final hug and boarded the train heading straight for the carriage he saw the boy, which he had now remembered as being called David, sitting in.
As Scott entered the carriage David looked up and with a cheeky smile said " I was wondering if you were gonna show your face after you made yourself look like a tit in Olivanders"
Scott's face dropped as he remembered the afternoon in Diagon Alley when he tripped over the step going into Olivanders wand shop "oh for god sake I didn't think anyone was looking"
"no worries mate I wont tell anyone" " now have you come prepared?"
"sorry David hang on a second I am just trying to find my parents"
"you take all the time you need mate I have already waved my folks off"
"oop found em carry on now mate" Scott said as he began waving at his parents with extreme urgency
" okay what I said was have you come prepared? I mean with all the books and things."
"Of course I have you tosser what kind of an idiot do you think I am?" Scott said in a jokey tone still waving at his parents. Suddenly the train jolted into life and you could almost hear the smiles coming from every student aboard the Hogwarts Express as they started the long journey to Hogwarts. After both of the boys had bought and discussed the newest issue of Quidditch weekly from the trolley they stretched there legs out on the seats beside them and fell into a deep sleep.
They were woken up by a prefect About 4 hours later who told them that The train would be arriving at Hogwarts in the next 10 minutes. The boys quickly got up and made themselves presentable for arriving at there new school. As the train slowed down they looked out of the window and got there first look of the castle they would be calling home for the majority of the next 7 years. They were finally at Hogwarts.
