XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Roxas sat on the ledge of the clock tower eating a bar of sea salt ice cream with his three school friends, Hayner, Pence and Olette Unknown to the blond, Axel stood at the bottom staring at him and his friends.
Axel's fiery hair rustled from the wind in twilight town. He looked up towards the top of the clock tower. Towards the blond he so desperately wanted to take back with him. All the redhead wanted was to bring Roxas back to Castle Oblivion, where they belonged. But Roxas didn't remember that. The blond didn't remember anything. He didn't remember his time at the castle, he didn't remember the other members of the organization, and he didn't remember Axel. Roxas had even forgotten his best friend.
A single tear ran down the redheads cheek. After Roxas had left the castle, he had been taken away and left in Twilight Town with fake memories. The blond thought those three high schoolers were his friends, he thought this town was his home, had always been his home. Worst of all, he had no memory of what had actually been in his life. The redhead didn't exist in Roxas' mind. Unfortunately, Axel was just the opposite. He couldn't forget the blond. He hadn't wanted to at first. Axel had come to Twilight Town to invoke the blond's lost memories, and to bring him back. Frankly, Axel couldn't stand being alone in Castle Oblivion anymore. He wanted his best friend back, but he hadn't been successful yet. The redhead had tried quite a few times to make Roxas remember, but the blond was as stubborn as ever, even if he didn't know it.
Now, Axel stared at the blond, so happy with a normal life. Now, the redhead just wanted to be able to forget, and go on with his life. But that wasn't possible at the moment. Whatever had stolen Roxas' memories was no longer here, and was no longer able to help Axel. Taking one last look at Roxas, he turned away from the boy who was no longer his.
He wanted Roxas to be happy. If that meant he was no longer a part of the blond's life, he would walk away. Axel would leave and never come back, if it meant that Roxas would be happy.
And so he did.

So, depressing? Or no?
I had to write a short piece for summer homework, and I chose to do something on strength. I think it implies strength. But who knows.
Anyways. Figured I'd upload this small drabble of a piece here. There is sadly less than 400 words to this...
Critique is always welcome. Even on something as small as this.
