AN- Hi guys.
Obliviously I am not J.K Rowling so I do not own any of the Harry Potter universe.
This is my first fanfiction so I would really appreciate if you could review my story but without further ado here is my story caught in a lie.
Harry and Ginny sat in the common room searching the Marauders map looking for any sign of Hermione. Neither of them had seen hide nor hair of her since they had come back from Hogsmead earlier.
*Earlier that afternoon*
The couple had seen Hermione roaming around the small village on her own and they had invited her to join them in the three broomsticks for a warm drink but she had politely declined stating that she needed to get some more parchment and new quills before they had to go back to the castle and that she didn't want to intrude on the couples already limited alone time. Both Harry and Ginny shared a confused but also slightly relieved and grateful look before they went into the small pub.
At the back of the pub Ron was in a full blown make out session with Lavender so Harry and Ginny decided to avoid that area and instead chose to sit in the middle of the dining near the roaring fire. They sat at their table and ate and drank contentedly until professor Slughorn entered the pub and told all of the Hogwarts students that it was nearly curfew and that they needed to start making their way back to he castle.
Harry had jabbed Ron with his elbow as he walked past.
"Bloody hell. What did you do that for Harry?" Ron had grumbled.
"Professor Slughorn said it was time to go back but you were too busy snogging Lavender to notice," Harry said.
"Alright, thanks mate."
"No problem," Harry replied before grabbing Ginny's hand and leading her out if the pub.
The young couple left the pub and slowly walked back to the castle. The pair made it back just before curfew.
*Present Time*
Both of them were worried. It wasn't like Hermione to just disappear without a trace. They were both wracking their brains to come up with a reason they couldn't find her.
"Perhaps she is in the room of requirement?" suggested Harry.
"She could be. Or maybe she's Hogsmead with her secret boyfriend?" said Ginny.
"Secret boyfriend? WHAT?" Harry practically shouted.
"Yeah,I've suspected that she's been dating someone behind our backs for a while now but she doesn't want to tell us because she's worried that we won't approve."
"Well who do you think she's dating?" Harry asked.
"I think she might be dating Malfoy."
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?" Harry actually shouted this time.
"Yeah, It makes sense. She knows how you would react." said Ginny.
"Well yeah, she's dating the enemy!"
"Exactly, you just proved my point by reacting like that."
"We should check the map to make to see if Malfoy is in the castle. If he is then perhaps your wrong but if he's not then maybe he is where ever Hermione is hiding,"suggested Harry.
Harry bought the map back out and tapped it with his wand.
"I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good."
The castle appeared on the map and Ginny and Harry scoured it for any signs of Draco Malfoy. They found him in on the seventh floor corridor pacing back and forth as if trying to gain entry to the room of requirement.
"Well I guess that rules out two things. The first thing being that Malfoy isn't with Hermione and the second thing being that Hermione isn't in the room of requirement. If she was then Malfoy wouldn't need to a pace back and forth to open the door."
Both Harry and Ginny were at a loss as to where their friend could had got to.
"Honestly, its not like she can just disappear. Can she?" said Ginny.
"Not to my knowledge," replied Harry. "I say we call it a night and interrogate Hermione in the morning. I have potions first thing and I don't want to get into trouble with Slughorn that early in the morning."
"Alright. Good night Harry," Ginny said kissing him on the cheek before rushing off up the stairs to the girls dormitories.
"Good night Ginny," Harry called after her.
"Mischief managed" Harry said as he folded up the map. Once the map was neatly folded up and tucked away he slowly trudged up the stairs to his dorm. He sighed as he got under the warm duvet covers of his four-poster bed. He really had no idea where Hermoine could be and he was worried for his friends safety but he did know that as long as Hermione stayed within the wards of the castle and kept her wits about her then she would be perfectly safe.
