The Backstory
A while ago, I had planned to do a Balto fanfic that involved time travel. I got most of the first chapter done before I gave up on it. So here it is
The Plot:
Balto 2010
In New York City, in the year 2010, Scientest Micheal Brown is having a bad day. He just got fired, his son is losing faith in him, and no one belives him when he says he can talk to animals.
But then one stormy night, while Micheal is performing a weather experiment, the equipment attachted to his Dodge Omni is struck by lighting, sending Micheal back to the year 1925, to the town of Nome, Alaska, where he is discovered by the one and only, Balto.
While trying to wake Micheal up, Balto is accidentally pushed into the time machine, inevitably sending him forward to New York City, 2010, where he is immidiatly caught by animal control and sent to the pound, where he meets his future realitve, also named Balto. As luck would have it, they are rescued by Micheal's son, Marty, who secretly also has the abilty to talk to animals, but never said anything for fear of being outcasted like his father.
Meanwhile, back in 1925, Micheal realizes where and when he is, and tries to warn the town of the upcoming epidemic. Steele, however, realizing that Micheal is telling the truth, kidnaps him and locks him away, then takes Balto's place as the hero, thus alternating history.
Balto 1925 realizes this when he sees the statue of himself in Central Park morph in to Steele. Marty then realizes that if Balto 1925 and Micheal continue to stay in their current time periods, then Marty and Balto 2010 will cease to exist.
Now Marty and the 2 Baltos must find a way to get back to 1925 and save their families. Can Marty save his existence and bring his father back? Will Steele remain as the hero of Nome? And Most Importantly, can Balto 1925 save the exsitence of his family and his future self, Balto 2010?
