This story is a tribute to VisualStruggle for being such an amazing friend! Stay Strong!
There is one headcanon used, and that is that fact that Will is British in this story. The idea for a lot of this comes from Tumblr haedcanons.
Enjoy!
Nico poked his head out of the covers to see Will asleep on the sofa. He sighed: he had fallen asleep while they were playing Mario Kart with the Seven. Apparently the Seven saw fit to leave Will there and move Nico to his bed. Knowing Will would get pecked to death by the harpies if he kicked him out, the Son of Hades snuggled back down between the warm sheets, good dreams greeting him.
Tea splashed up into Will's face as he stirred the cup he was making in the doctor's office. Nico was leaning against the doorframe. "You British and your tea," he smirked.
"Sorry, I can't hear you over Doctor Who, Shakespeare, and Harry Potter!" Will smirked. "Come in!"
Will flopped down on the sofa, Kayla beside him. Nico perched in a comfortable armchair. Kayla smirked even wider than Will. "So, what makes England so special?"
Will sipped his tea. "Oh, yuck, Earl Grey!"
Kayla smirked, holding the cup he had made out of his reach. "So, tell me one good thing about Britain?"
"The 'U' rule: favourite, colour, labour, neighbour. The 'U' is important."
Kayla shook her head, sipping the coffee she had in her hands. "There's no 'U' in 'Freedom'."
Will smirked even wider than Kayla. "There's no N, H, or S, either." Kayla groaned and handed the tea back. Will took a huge drought of it.
"Not gonna defend him?" she asked Nico.
Nico shrugged. "I'm Italian."
She frowned. "I've never met an Italian apart from you."
He smirked even wider than Will. "There's only 5.5 million of us. We're rare."
The dream changed.
Nico brought the knife to his wrist. He hadn't eaten. He wasn't speaking. He forced himself to be sick. Then, it shifted again. Nico was leaning off a bridge, ready to talk his own life. Then he heard a voice behind him. "Please don't die, Nico. I love you."
Nico woke to someone kissing the scars on his wrists. "Will..." he murmured.
"Mornin', Sunshine, it's a new day."
