Spica looked at Mayura curiously.

"Go on Spica, take it!'

She slowly reached out and took the mistletoe from the pink haired girl.

"Now, put it over the front door." She instructed. Then, when Loki comes home from his walk with Fenrir, you wait by the front door… annnnddd…" She smiled, clapping her hands. "You kiss!"

Spica smiled and nodded in understanding.

"I'll go get a chair so you can put it up!" Mayura said excitedly, and ran into the dining room to get it.

Spica turned the mistletoe around in her hand and wondered.

Why was she doing this?

Mayura had a huge crush on the boy detective. It was so obvious. Yet…

She played matchmaker with Loki and her.

Just like… Spica stopped. Impossible…!

"Spica, I got the chair!" Mayura called, walking into the living room with it. Spica set the mistletoe on the table beside her and went to help her with it.

After nearly falling over twice, the girls finally managed to nail the plant to the wall and stood back, admiring their handiwork. It matched nicely with the Christmas decorations they had put up earlier. The beautiful Yule tree in the corner, the stockings, figures of different versions of Sinterklaas, candles, and various Christmassy knickknacks everywhere.

It reminded Spica of the old days.

Little Jormungand on the floor, winded around her legs, Fenrir in her lap, and little Hel beside her in the chair, reading a book. And Loki on the other side of her, arm wrapped around her shoulders, just staring at the fire, a smile on his face.

She glanced at Mayura, who was gabbering wildly about how surprised Loki would be.

He would leave his family in Asgard for them, and his wife there wouldn't fuss. She never cared where Loki went, as long as she saw him sometime. She would spend her Yule with Thor's family, Loki would say indifferently. That way I could be with you…

The words seemed so wonderful then, but in retrospect, they sounded cruel. Spica had liked Sigyn. Her ruby eyes had radiated warmth, and she was always smiling. She liked Spica as well, and would often try to visit Jourumgund, Fenrir, and Hel for Christmas, but Loki would stop her at the door, and she would give him the gifts she had for them and leave.

"Your father is busy right now," She would say to her children. Loki's children. "He's with his other family right now. We shouldn't lessen his time with them."

So kind, so submissive, so Sigyn.

The door opened, making her come back to Earth. Fenrir bounced in, barking. Loki followed, shaking the snow from his head.

"It's so cold out there… Hate the cold…" he muttered.

She had an idea.

Spica suddenly grabbed Mayura's hand and pushed her in front of the door, Loki looked up, and Mayura's eyes widened and she blushed.

Spica smiled.

Your turn.

A/N:

I have only watched the anime and read the first two volumes of the second manga, so forgive me if I made any mistakes about Sigyn and Loki. Have a very merry Yuletide!

A/N 2:

I looked back at this and hated it! It was horrible. I made so many mistakes... So as a birthday present to me, I redited and added some stuff to it.

Please R and R.
