This is a oneshot that was requested. It's really short and not the best if I'm being honest but oh well. It's based on the aftermath of the robbery and basically a different version of events. I hope you like it!
"I'd better get going," I say as I finish my drink. The rovers is fairly quiet except for the sounds of some talking throughout the pub.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay for another drink?" Michelle asks me as Leanne looks up at me, wondering the same.
"No, it's fine. I'm gonna go and see if I can find Carla," I say, getting up from my seat at the bar and heading towards the door of the rovers before I'm stopped by Robert coming through.
"Have you seen Tracy?" He asks me, suddenly as I shake my head.
"No, have you seen Carla?"
He thinks for a moment before shaking his head at me and moving out of the way so I can leave.
As I open the door to the rovers, I feel a cool gush of air hit me and start to walk along the pavement back to Carla's flat.
Walking back, I cross the road to the other side before I see a figure in the distance.
I can't quite make out who it is but it looks like someone's on the ground, possibly hurt. I speed up my walking and as I get closer I start to think.
No, it can't be her. This is my slightly drunk mind playing tricks on me.
It's only when I'm only a few metres away from her when I realise who the lifeless figure on the ground is.
"Carla, oh my god."
I try lightly shaking her but she doesn't wake up.
"Hello, ambulance please to Coronation Street."
I see Kevin and Anna walk up from the distance hand in hand as they realise what's happening and I can't help but raise my voice.
"Get Michelle from the Rovers!"
They both run over to the Rovers following what I say, I don't care if I haven't been polite, not right now.
The only thing I care about is my fiancé being okay.
"Carla," I try waking her up again. "Please."
As I look at the blood surrounding her head and the bruises evident on her body, I know it's hopeless.
I know she isn't going to wake up.
Whether I want to accept it or not, I know she's gone. Forever.
Thank you for reading. Sorry it was only short. Please leave a review?
