Hello. Well, um, don't know how to start this, but I read a fanfiction called 'One Promise'. I have the summary here:
The young kit Brightkit promised Honeykit that when she becomes leader, she'll make Honeykit deputy. The problem is that with Honeykit's soft, shy nature, will she be a great deputy, let alone leader? Things are already bad enough. WillowClan's current leader had mysteries beyond being just captured by Twolegs. And when Honeykit becomes leader, will she be trusted?
Pretty similar to a story I'm sure you all know called, I Promise, here's the summary:
They had been best friends as kits, Rosekit and Brightkit. Brightkit has always shown the promise of becoming a fine leader, while Rosekit is always laughed at for being weak. One day the two friends make a promise, that if one were to become leader, they would name the other as their deputy. Unfortunately, life seems to happen in mysterious ways for both of them.
See any similarities? I Promise was published in 2015, and One Promise was published in 2013. The author of 'One Promise' has made a chapter on it.
But most of all, the review difference is shocking. While One Promise, the obvious original, has 8 reviews, I Promise has 351. May I point out how unfair that is. Goldenwing is Loki'D probably put so much time and effort into designing characters and plot, while Something To Say obviously read it and said, "Hmm, that seems like a good idea. Let me use it in my fanfic instead of making my own fanfic with original ideas!"
I find this incredibly thief-like, and worse, Something to Say got decently popular because of it -.-
This sucks, and I think the two authors should talk it out, instead of one of them ignoring the other's pleads to give them credit.
Not trying to start drama, just a concerned drunk Irish female trying to point out an awkward position two authors are in…
