Sonic quickly ran from Amy as she swung her hammer around like a mad person.

"damn it sonic get back her!" she said panting to sonic who was hiding behind a tree.

"hey watch you're language amy there could be kids reading this!"

Amy jumped over and tried to hit sonic with her hammer, sonic dodged out of the way and then ran up a tree. Amy hit the tree with her hammer.

"get down from here already! I want us to go shopping and then watch the eclipse together!"

"amy come on! I don't want to watch a borning eclipse with you, let alone shop with you!"

"come on sonic, would it kill you to spend some time with her?" sally said, walking towards amy.

"oh come on sally not you too!" said sonic.

"sonic come on, all's she ask for is for you to spend some time with her, is that too much to ask?"

"this is amy we're talking about, she takes forever to go shopping!"

"I can't help it if I can't decide what to wear, or because I can barely do it cause of doctor egghead."

Amy hit the tree once more. Finally sonic fell from the tree right on his butt.

"ow!" he said. Sally and amy surrounded him.

"now are you going to join me in shopping, or am I going to have to use force?"

Sonic sighed. "I surrender."

"great!" amy grabbed sonic's arm and headed off to the mall with him. Shadow looked on, up high in the trees. He slowly shook his head at sonic and amy as they walked away.

Rouge flew up next to him.

"I still don't know why we're taking the chaos emeralds from these guys..."

"look, I don't know about you, but I'm tired of getting our asses kicked by every bad guy we run into. Besides, the freedom fighters shouldn't mind that much. Maybe our little visit will give them a reason to upgrade their security system.

"I thought you said we were cutting their power during this eclipse..."

"and we are..." said rouge. "E-123 omega, come in." rouge said on her watch.

"yes."

"you hiding near the Freedom fighters HQ power supply?"

"yes."

"good, keep hiding, and when I give the command you cut the power."

"yes boss."

Rouge looked at shadow with a smile. "this is going to be a blast..."

Back at his workshop tails was working on some new gadgets and devices, which weren't exactly working out the way he wanted to.

"ugh...maybe I should take a break." He said.

"well, I'm gald you realized soon enough." Nicole said. The brown and black lynx walked into the 2 tailed fox's shop.

"sorry to barge in..." said Nicole, "but I was getting a little worried about you. you've been in here for a while now..."

"sorry about that, it's just I want to build some inventions to help out sonic and the team, especially with these rumors that eggman is building more powerful weapons."

"but it's not worth pushing you're self over the edge tails. you're only 8..."

Tails sighed. "you're right, I'm sorry."

"don't beat yourself up, now come on, let's go see what the others are doing." Nicole said, leading the fox out of his workshop.

1 hour before the eclipse

"so how long is this thing supposed to last?" asked sonic unhappy and walking back with amy from the mall.

"about 2 or so hours." She said carrying some shopping bags with her.

"still shorter than the amount of time we spent in that mall."

"oh will you stop it!"

"what, I'm just begin honest. Isn't honesty the best policy?"

Amy ignored sonic and went back to the freedom fighters base. The two entered in the base.

"how'd it go?" asked tails

"don't ask." Said sonic.

"wonderful!" said amy in a cheerful tone. "we went to a bunch of clothing stores, and sonic helped me pick out a dress."

"NO I DIDN'T!" said sonic.

"sonic relax, the eclipse is one hour away."

"sorry, but next time you're going shopping with her tails."

"uh...I think I'll pass..."

Back in the woods rouge and shadow kept an eye on the sky, ready to give E-123 Omega the signal to cut the power.

"soon..." said rouge with a smirk.

While this was going on, someone new stumbled apron the two. She had brown hair, a blue dress, and was a hedgehog like sonic. Her blue eyes looked around the tree to see what was going on.

"what are they up to..." she said.
