A moment of silence
The principle asked
For a boy whose life
Had come and passed
And so we all sat
Without any sound
The tears from our eyes
Soaking the ground
Tears fell from our eyes,
And it rained all the while
As if even the clouds,
Like us, couldn't smile
For a fellow classmate
For a old time friend
For a boy whose
Compassion knew no end
For his short life
The whole school wept
Yet not one knew
His heart I kept
We'd walked beneath
The sun and moon
Never knowing that
His end, came so soon
His life had been like
A beautiful rose
He'd been so full of life
And wisdom, and prose
