That Baby in the Window
A/N: Warning, there may be some slight hints of wincest. It could also just be brotherly love. Take it how you wanna.
Dean was working two cases. He was trying to figure out what had had mutilated many dogs in the area and sent people to the hospital for strange animal-like bites, it was a werewolf. And he was trying to find his dad. The super-hunter had debated a couple times if he should call up his brother at his nice, cozy college apple pie life, but he had decided against it. Sam was happy now. So what if John hadn't called, texted, sent a carrier pigeon or smoke signal in a couple weeks. He was probably fine…right? Dean shook the thoughts out of his head and moved to leave the hospital when something caught his eye.
There were about six babies in the nursery on that day. Five of them were placed into the little beds in a nice little group. The sixth baby was a couple rows over, in a corner all by himself. Dean's eyes were instantly drawn to the little baby that no one seemed to want to pay attention to. That's when he read that baby's nametag.
Samuel Warren.
"Sam." Dean whispered. That poor little baby reminded him so much of his clumsy, dorky brother that he really wanted to see right now. The truth was that he missed Sam more than anything in the world. Hell, he didn't care if his dad stayed missing for years, as long as he had Sam riding shotgun with him, he wouldn't give a crap. And if that made him a bad person, then so be it. At least he'd have his little brother back.
"Can I help you sir?" One of the nurses asked Dean as she hit an intercom button from inside the nursery.
"You already have." Dean answered. Screw the werewolf. There'd be other full moons. Right now, he was going to drive the hundreds of miles to Palo Alto, California.
The End
A/N: Aww, wasn't that so cute? Dean Winchester has a heart and it hasn't been stepped on by every demon, angel, or adorable little brother yet. Aww. Please review!
