Hey guys! Here's the new story, and the AU is here! I figured I'd do the High School one first, because I had info for it and it sounded fun! I don't own anything, but I hope you enjoy!

High School AU: School Festival

Beacon was nothing more than a mass of activity, it's students bustling around in a state of utter chaos. This past week had all been leading up to this one grand affair of insanity. There were no classes, no overly obsessed teachers dragging them around, no homework… just student-driven fun!

"Ren, stop moving! I swear, you lost weight since we put this jacket on last! Wait, this isn't yours!" Nora stabbed her pins into her pincushion with a grin. "Silly Ren, you can't wear someone's uniform!"

"Why do I even have a uniform?" Ren asked his amused friend as she started digging through the pile for the right jacket.

"Because Weiss insisted our best looking guys be butlers, and you're like, the best looking guy in class! Aha, here it is!" Nora tossed the jacket over her shoulder carelessly for Ren to catch. "And after we didn't win the stage for a performance, I wasn't gonna fight her! Plus, maid and butler cafes are popular so we might win the best seats for the fireworks! Which means you have to go serve tea and cookies and be a good butler!"

"Nora…"

"It'll be fun! And I coordinated our breaks so we can go through the festival together!" Nora obviously had some magical powers over Weiss if she'd managed that; Ren had seriously doubted Weiss would have let anyone go free for a very long time!

Nora was cheerfully babbling at Ren as she worked on tying his bowtie, making sure it as perfectly straight. "Good thing we got a lot of drama club in our class! This way we can have awesome maids and butlers, and we can make our costumes and stuff! And we'll beat that knock-off play off of our stage!"

"It's Romeo and Juliet… and I'm not really in…"

"The sound booth is still drama club! Boop!" Nora tapped Ren's nose as a way to end the conversation, spinning away quickly. "No go on to Weiss and I'll get dressed up too! Go, go!"

Nora waited for Ren to get out, grinning mischievously when she heard the teasing whistles and Ren's appearance. Beaming at the evidence of her good work, Nora reached out for her own outfit.

They had really gone all out for this event, to make up for the humiliating denial of their stage; their classroom and costumes were designed to be as realistic as possible.

Weiss had even gone so far as to go to actual maid and butler cafes to gain personal knowledge on the shops.

Giggling, Nora started changing into her maid's dress, feeling cheerful and pleased with herself. Her entire outfit was pink and white, the skirt flaring out every time she spun around. Nora had taken great care to make her costume compliment her normal style with high boots and short skirts, completely unique for herself.

She had made sure every maid costume had something special, but Nora's was especially different.

"I'm ready! Oh Weiss, that looks awesome!" Nora clapped her hands gleefully as she came out, beaming at the outfit Weiss had insisted on. "We did a good job!"

All whites and icy blues, the dress wasn't revealing or particularly maid-like, but it complimented Weiss perfectly… and gave her the look of the manager she was!

Weiss did the obligatory spin before handing Nora a stack of flyers. "Advertising, like you wanted. You…"

"Got it! I'll get everybody here!"

"And tell Ruby not to come running over here every break she has!" Nora heard Weiss calling after her, but she had more important things to do! She had to get all the people… even if she had to drag them!

"Come to 1-B's café! We have all the good food!" Nora stopped a pair of girls, bouncing in front of them with a bright grin. "And it's loads of fun!"

"Well, we were about to see the play…"

Nope! "We have cute boys to be butlers!" Nora replied conspiratorially, earning herself a few pleased grins in return. "They're way better than some sad play!"

Take all their customers! Take them all away from the stage and to the café!"

Nora found herself to be a better advertiser than she expected, because she ran out of flyers within minutes, hearing multiple people talking about going right away. "Awesome!"

Weiss couldn't blame her if she took a few minutes to wander, could she? Because Nora was dying to see Pyrrha in her haunted house! It was bound to be absolutely hilarious!

Nora still couldn't believe Pyrrha was scared of ghosts and the like… it was weird that so strong a girl was terrified of something like the supernatural!

"Oh Pyrrha! Pyrrha, where are you?" Nora stopped outside the haunted house, calling out as loudly as she could for her friend. She could see Blake, obviously reading under the table while taking tickets, and Ruby, dressed up as a witch to advertise, but no Pyrrha. Where was the redheaded wonder, so Nora could tease her mercilessly about her haunted house?

"Nora!" Ruby waved excitedly, dashing over with a laugh. "Have you seen Yang? She was running around taking people to the picture booth! I'll be going there later and then to see Weiss, and then I'll stick with Weiss all the time!"

"Weiss said don't visit every break!" Nora recited the message, looking around quickly. "Where's Pyrrha?"

"I won't visit every break! I won't visit on my first break!" Ruby promised, looking around to help find the other girl. "Pyrrha… she's still getting ready! She's going to be this super awesome vampire!"

"A vampire? Awesome! Is she going to be inside the house?" She had to see Pyrrha try to be scary… especially if she was trying not to be scared at the same time!

"No." Pyrrha made a magical appearance behind Nora, causing her to jump into the air, dramatically covering her heart with her hands.

"Pyrrha! Are you trying to kill me? You were just like a real vampire, sneaking up out of nowhere! Does the sunlight make you sparkle?" Nora giggled, hugging her friend tightly enough that Pyrrha had to fight to breathe. "Hey, are you gonna stop at 1-C's photo booth? You could take a picture with Jaune!"

"Huh? N-Nora, I don't…"

"Yep, you totally are! Ruby, you'll take her when you go see Yang, right?" Nora didn't wait to hear a reply before finding something else to see. "Oh hey, I see people to drag to the café! You all better visit us later too! Hey Jaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuune!"

The boy froze in place seconds before Nora pounced, latching onto his arm tightly. "I found you! Okay, so you can come visit Ren, and see Weiss, and then you can…"

"Nora, Jaune has to go to our booth!" Yang was there, grabbing Jaune's other arm and tugging in the opposite direction. "Shouldn't you be advertising?"

"Out of flyers! And now I'm bringing a customer!" Nora tugged on Jaune, ignoring his badly-hidden hiss off pain. "He's mine, Yang!"

"We need him!"

"Well, we need him more!"

"He's not even in your class!"

"He's my customer!"

"Ow!" Jaune cried out, looking as if he was getting torn in half. "Nora, I'll visit later, I promise, just let go!"

"Oh, fine!" There was no warning when she released him, and watching Jaune and Yang topple over had Nora laughing uncontrollably as she ran back to her classroom. "Weiss, I finished adver… hey, what happened here?"

The classroom was overflowing, and the poor boys were crowded in a corner, blocked off by hordes of girls, while the maids desperately tried to make everything else run smoothly. "Nora, what on earth did you do?" Weiss called out over the noise, pointing out a few tables that needed to be cleaned to another classmate.

"I handed out flyers and told people about the cute maids and butlers!" Perhaps this was more popular than any of them had expected… how were any of them supposed to get breaks if they couldn't even get out of there?

No. That was unacceptable. Nora needed her Ren time; she was not going to miss this chance to walk around the school festival with him! Ren was coming with her, and that was that!

"Hey! You can't get served if you terrify our butlers! Hands off the merchandise!" Nora plowed through the crowd, somehow not breaking any bones, before latching on to Ren's arm, taking in the relieved looks of all the boys. "Everyone sit, and you will all get served! Weiss, we're taking break!"

Before anyone could protest, Nora had Ren dragged out of the room, giggling uncontrollably at the noise being left behind them. "Ren, you won't believe some of the stuff they have! We could…"

"Isn't that one of the maids? And a butler! We should so get a picture!"

Trouble. If they got swarmed, they weren't going to be able to have fun! "Ren, we have to run! To the secret hideout!"

Ren didn't respond, but he didn't start running, which made Nora stomp her foot impatiently. "We're gonna get caught!"

"It'll be fine," Ren replied quietly, removing his jacket quickly, laying it over his arm easily. "We can just walk."

"But…"

"We'll just act calm and everything will work out."

That was certainly Ren's philosophy towards everything… and for the most part it worked. Forcing herself not to sigh and drag Ren off, Nora linked their fingers together and started walking. They had time to see everything… and Weiss couldn't complain that they were gone because the café was definitely going to be busy for a while!

"We won! We got the roof for the fireworks show! Whoo hoo!" Nora spun around the roof, beaming over at Weiss and their friends, who had all snuck their way onto the roof with them. "This is awesome!"

"You weren't helping!" Weiss replied, dodging a hug from Ruby, putting Yang between herself and her sister.

"Ren and I were advertising!" Nora protested, latching onto Ren's arm with a bright grin. "You guys were fine! And we won, so we're all awesome!"

Nora moved on to ignore Weiss, giggling at Ren cheerfully. "Ren, wasn't today awesome? We got to see Pyrrha as a spooky vampire, and Jaune was taking all those pictures, and Yang forcing him into those prompts… there was so much! And all the food! Velvet made those really yummy cakes, and Yatsuhashi did the decoration, can you believe it? If I could decorate that well…"

"Nora."

"Yes Ren?"

"Aren't you cold?"

Nora hadn't changed out of her maid uniform, but in all honesty, she was too excited to feel anything. There were going to be fireworks, and she was with Ren, and they had totally won this contest, so…

She felt something cover her shoulders and glanced up at Ren, reaching up to wrap the jacket tighter around her shoulders. "Aw, thanks Ren! You know you're totally…"

There was a flash of color, distracting Nora from what she was saying. "Hey, they're starting! Ren, look!"

It was only a glimpse, but Nora caught Ren's smile, small and soft as it was before she turned to stare at the sky for the fireworks. And although the whole day had been one big adventure, it wasn't complete until she saw Ren smiling down at her as if he saw nothing else!
