Zaizen sighed, lying down atop a hill near the school. There was so much he hasn't done this past year, things he promised himself that he'd do. Of course, there were promises that Zaizen was willing to give up. But there was one that he would never let go. And he was going to fulfill that promise even if it kills him.
Someone plopped down beside him. Zaizen cracked open one of his eyes and saw a head of golden blond hair.
"What are you doing here, Kenya-senpai?"
The blond grinned cheekily down at his favourite junior. Kenya always made Zaizen feel better, intentionally or not.
"What's got you so down?" Kenya asked.
Zaizen groaned and sat up, "I still haven't done things that I wanted to do for this year."
Kenya quirked his head, "is that so?"
Zaizen nodded and closed his eyes to sleep once again.
"Well I think that if you really want to do it before the New Year hits, then you should get off your ass and do it!" The speed star cheered, launching up with torrid passion.
The green eyed genius sat up, "do you really think so? I mean, the one thing I really want to do is really difficult..."
"How difficult?"
"Really difficult," Zaizen pouted and looked towards the tennis courts. Kenya thought Zaizen looked absolutely adorable in that very moment.
"Can I guess what it is?"
Zaizen looked at him, "I dare you."
"You wanted to win the nationals."
"No,"
"You want to get straight A's?"
"I said difficult senpai."
Kenya snorted, "of course."
Zaizen quirked his head to the side, his lips still in a full pout.
Kenya grinned widely, the little tensai just looked so cute that he couldn't resist. The blond wrapped his arms around Zaizen and nuzzled him. Kenya watched in amusement as the junior's face turned all 285 shades of red.
"S-senpai?"
"Yes?"
"I think I can fulfill my resolution now."
"Oh really?"
"Yes,"
Kenya felt soft lips crash into his. He was taken aback for a brief moment before he kissed the boy back.
The school bell rang and abruptly snapped the two out of their daze.
Zaizen smirked and trotted off toward the school building before Kenya could recover.
Kenya noticed something fall out of the pocket of Zaizen's coat. He picked it up and unfolded it.
Win the nationals. It was crossed out with a big 'x'.
Get the top grades of the class. It was checked off.
Spend more time with my nephew. It was checked off.
Stop throwing dangerous objects at my brother. It was crossed out.
There was one circled numerous times.
Claim Kenya Oshitari as mine.
Kenya grinned from ear to ear. He reached in to his pocket and brought out a pen. And right beside the last resolution, he put a big checkmark beside it.
That wasn't so difficult at all.
