As said in Maslow's Hierarchy of needs chart, you need to belong, or at least feel belonged/loved before you can achieve self-actualization, the top of Maslow's pyramid. If you feel like you are loved in a community, your self-esteem, will grow stronger. As said in the action plan, the school should use this time during the winter holidays as a chance to make those that are left out, feel good about themselves. The school should make sure no student, no matter the religion or holiday, should be left out. The action plan is a party including every winter holiday, which comes to mind.
