Oneshot idea from a friend, we were hanging out and he was like hey what if the enterprise was Optimus Prime? Thus this crack fic was born! Enjoy!!

Star date 23456.5 captains' log, we have been recently observing a lone planet. The construction of which is purely made out of metal and cybernetic origins. As of yet we have not encountered any life forms. First contact with a species of such superior technology would be to the federations benefit. Picard out.
"Ensign adjust our heading so we are over the main structure of the planet." Captain Picard said in customary crispness.
"Aye, aye sir!" Wesley crusher said.
The silver gleam of the Enterprise E reflected from the light of the warm sun that held the cyber planet in its grasp. Suddenly an energy reading lanced out from the planet.
"Sir. There appears to be some sort of energy trail scanning us." Lt. Data said in his calm voice. Taping the board in front of him he continued on. "It has originated from what is the main structure of the planet."
"All stop." Picard ordered, "yellow alert, I want to see what our visitors want first." Picard stood from his command chair and gave a quick tug to his uniform top straightening it.
"Sir." Wesley said, "there is an object heading right at us, it is the Enterprise sir" the young ensign ended in disbelief turning towards the Captain.
"Open a hailing frequency Data." Picard said, "Alien species we are peaceful travelers who wish to further our knowledge of your planet. We mean you no harm."
The Captain stood at Data's chair gazing out at the sight of his own ship. Data moved his hands over the station in front of him, "sir, we are receiving a message, audio only."
Picard nodded his head to play it.
"Greetings beings from other parts of the galaxy, we are autonomous life forms that preside on the planet below us. However we are not made of carbon base such as yourselves." The voice was deep and boomed over the audio system
"Greetings to you as well, may I ask what element based life you are?" Picard asked his curiosity peaking.
"We are cybernetic beings such as the one who now resides on your command center. This is not by true form, I chose to look like your vessel in hopes to decrease tensions."
"Admirable of you, I too find deflating situations before they arrive to be more benefiting on first contact with other beings." Picard said
"If you will allow I will now transform into my original form. Will this cause you alarm?"
"By all means please." Picard said, "I am Captain Picard of USS Enterprise we represent the United Federation of Planets. Whom might I be speaking with?"
On the view screen Picard watched as the copy of his Enterprise shift and folded. The saucer section seemed to peel away like a flower, then coming to rest on what looked like an upper body. The blue nacelles shifted up and over the saucer shifting and turning inside out to reveal gauntleted arms. Parts of the main body moved and shifted letting legs unfold, lastly a head was raised from behind the being. The being once transformed rolled his head as if to work out a kink, the blue glow of his gauntlets lighting up his body.
"I am Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots and this is Cybertron our home. Welcome!"
