"Why is she making me do it? Why not Alice or Carlisle? Maybe even Rosalie!"

Alice had apparently heard me thinking because she gave me a look like "you know that you're the only one that Bella will allow". I sighed and got up from our couch. Bella rose with me and we walked to put our plates away, both being completely full except there was a few bites taken out of an apple on hers. I sighed again and looked at Bella.

"Why didn't you eat, love? You know that you'll need all the strength you can get for tonight. You know how you make me nervous when you don't take care of yourself."

"What? Oh, guess I was too deep in thought to notice."

"Well then can you at least tell me what you were thinking?"

She sighed then looked up at me with her beautiful, big, brown eyes.

"Well there's only so much that's important to me right now, I think you can guess." She said with a smile.

"Well there's the fact as to what Jacob's going to try to do to us today, then there's Renesmee, Charlie and the rest of them, umm? Am I getting close?"

"No you're forgetting one other thing. And I know you're trying to trick your way out of talking about it so I'll just say it instead. The Change."

I sighed once more and she smiled slyly at me. Oh god she's turning more and more in to Alice. I chuckled and looked back at the living room, realizing for once, where we were again. They had all turned away in time to act nonchalant, very badly I might add. Emmett was probably the funniest one. He was sitting there pretending to be shoving food in his mouth, at the same time he realized what he was doing and spit the half chewed food out the window with great precision as to hit a bird as it was flying by.

"EWWWWWW EMMETT!!!!!!!!" I didn't hear Alice get up but at once she was by the window looking for the bird that had fell when Emmett hit it.

I turned back to Bella who was still staring at me like she had been there the whole time just doing that.

"Yes dear, I had figured that you would be thinking about tonight. Can we just try to enjoy your last night as a human? Please? I think I am actually going to miss your being a fragile human that I had to protect at all costs."

"Fine. But soon I'll be able to take you down without any help." She said curtly.

"Is that a threat or a promise?" I chuckled at the thought of her and I wrestling without a care.

"Both" she said as she walked back to sit in her usual spot next to Esme. Alice and I have to fight to the death, as though it's possible, to decide who sits on the other side of her. Alice wins the fight but that doesn't mean that I can't just lift her up and sit down where she was. She pouts as she goes to sit on the floor in front of Bella. I swear she's like an annoying cat that has to be near Bella from the time that she wakes up to the time that Bella goes to bed. But Alice had done this just to bug the heck out of me and we all knew it.
