Our Lives As We Know Them
Mary's twin brother Jake has been missing, after being kidnapped 9 years ago. When he is finally returned the Camden family has much more in store for them than they bargained for. It's PG for now, but later aspects of drug abuse and language, and other things will change the rating.
bA/N:/b Ok people, this is my very first attempt at fan fiction. My very first attempt at writing anything really! LOL I hope you enjoy it, and can make some semblance out of my wandering thoughts, and screwed up sentence structure. This story has been milling in my head for almost 2 years, so I thought I would finally write it down here. If anybody has ever seen the movie I Know My First Name Is Steven (the story about the kidnapping of Steven Stainer...sp?....) This is loosely based upon that story. I really hope you like it, and tell me if I should keep posting because I have a feeling this story could go on forever!! Please please please r/r!! I need some pointers seeing as I'm not a writer and have no clue what I'm doing. Enjoy!!p

*ring ring* *ring ring*p
"Hello?" Annie answered the phone with her usual cheerful voice as she wiped her hands on the dishcloth she had been using to dry the breakfast dishes. p
Eric walked into the kitchen and smiled lovingly at his wife, who was listening intently to the voice on the other end of the phone. He grabbed a cookie on his way out the door. He was off to the hospital, on one of his many bedside visits. But something in his wife's face made him stop dead in his tracks. She had the oddest look on here face, it was a mixture of horror, relief, sadness and happiness all rolled into one. He gave her a concerned look, as she looked at him with tear filled eyes. He gasped as she hung up the phone and slowly crumpled to the ground.p
Eric rushed forward extremely worried. Was it her father? Was it one of the children?p
"Annie! What is going on? What is happening honey?" he asked, tears now filling his eyes as his wife sat on the floor wailing. She was incoherent, and not making any sense. He had to calm her down.p
"Eric!! Oh my goodness Eric....." she trailed off again being consumed by her emotions.p
"Please Annie, please tell em who that was on the phone! Are one of the kids hurt? Was it about your father? PLEASE!!" his voice raising at the last word, trying to understand the situation.p
"It....it....it's Jake...." Annie said finally and looked into her husbands confused eyes. "They found him" she watched as sudden realization dawned on his face, and tears slowly fell down his face.p
After all these years it was finally happening. They had found his body, and now after having 9 years to try and heal they would have to attend their missing son's funeral.p
"And he's alive...." she gasped with the last of her strength.p
Eric felt himself melting to the ground. He couldn't believe it.p
