Ogi sat at the table when in the corner of his eye he discerned a slim figure of a hooded man entering.

The man looked at him and asked 'Are you feeling well?'

Ogi glanced at him silently before replying. 'Yes.' He saw the young man taking away the hood and approaching him to sit next to him. His hair tied as usual and the long white robe with hood protecting him from being recognized.

'I heard Kai has agreed and the singing of the treaty went smoothly.'

'Fortunately, yes. It will be the end of this war at last.'

'What will you do now?' Ogi said looking straight into Soo-won's face that did not change. Of course it would not, thought Ogi. He was too good at hiding his own feelings. Only his eyes for a second betrayed the emotions going through him.

'Your aim has been achieved,' continued Ogi slowly. 'Kouka will now enjoy peace for a long time I believe, but what about you? Have you thought about it?' He uttered no words for a short while and added 'I am worried about you.'

'I have not think about it yet. The recent negotiations with Kai on the terms of surrender and duties take up a lot of my time. It allows me not to think,' Soo-won stopped looking at Ogi's face.

'It cannot be helped it will take time.' Ogi replied soothingly. He understood that the boy lived for that aim and vengeance too long. 'Time will heal old wounds and new plants will spring to life, replacing the void left by the old ones. It is how it has always been.'

'What my father did to you is unforgivable. Had I been in your place, perhaps I may have done the same. But, what you did to me that night is not something I can forget easily.' She uttered the words with a mix of softness and firmness.

'Do you want to take my life?' The question slipped from Soo-won's mouth unconsciously.

Yona shook her head. 'No, I have decided not to a long time ago. I don't want to take revenge. It only inflicts more pain. What would I gain by it? Did it change anything for the better for you? Did it make you happy?'

The words pierced through him. A long time ago he vowed to avenge his father and save the falling kingdom from ruin, but all these actions, all these sacrifices only made him feel dead inside.

'Your majesty,' she said. The sudden, unexpected official tone of her voice brought Soo-won out of his reverie.

'I believe that it will bring no one back and cannot make anyone happy,' she said firmly and calmly. 'That is why I will not seek it.'

'What would you like to do then?'

'I want to live happily. Far away from this palace and the memorise it brings back, far away from you.' She moved and said at last. 'Farewell, Your majesty.'

Soo-won looked at the leaving figures who were once close like a little sister and brother and who now marked their desire to distance themselves from him by not calling him by his name.
