So this is the long awaited Hanabusa Aidou fanfiction. ;3

The moon nestled in a blanket of clouds.
I sat on a marble bench and looked up at the stars. Hesitantly, I raised my hand up and clenced it into a fist. I brought it to my heart and opened it.
There was an aqua-coloured crystal marble in my palm.
I smiled and stroked the smooth surface.
I heard footsteps and turned.
Hanabusa Aidou sat on the other half of the bench and gazed up at the dark sky.
I was surprised to see him outside. "...Aidou-senpai, shouldn't you be in class?"
Hanabusa shifted his icy blue eyes to me. "...Aren't you Kanako Kanoya from Class 2-4, a second-year student?"
I nodded. "Yes, I am."
He answered my question. "I'm cutting."
I laughed quietly. "Your professors must be boring."
"Very."
Hanabusa looked at the moon again. "I feel so trapped inside the classroom, but out here, I feel like a bird. Free, young, ageless, able to fly..."
A nightingale began to sing in the distance.
The blond stretched out his finger and whistled. The nightingale came to land on his index finger.
I looked on, intrigued. "...How did you do that?"
He let the nightingale peck inquisitively at his hand. "My younger sister, Tsukiko, taught me. When she fell ill, I always brought a bird to her side."
His eyes saddened. "'Kiko died with a nightingale in her arms. That's why I keep calling them to me; my sister's spirit lives within them."
I lowered my gaze. "So I guess vampires and humans have more similarities than differences. I lost my mother due to childbirth complications, not to mention the baby was stillborn."
With his other hand, he caressed my cheek. "My mother died when I was young, too young to remember her face. The next day, a pureblood family attacked the Aidou household. Only my father, my two older sisters, Tsukiko, and I made it out alive. My aunt and grandparents didn't make it."
I met his eyes. "Does anyone else know?"
"Only my cousins and you."
The nightingale took off. We watched it fly away, our eyes lingering.
I leaned my head against his shoulder. "No wonder you act so carefree. It's so you're protecting yourself from being hurt..."
He relaxed. "I'm impressed you've seen through the facade I put up."
I murmured, "But it always falls when someone who you like's near..."
"What was that?"
I blushed. "...N-Nothing..."
His arms wrapped around my waist. "You can tell me."
I gulped as my heartbeat quickened.
His tongue traveled up my neck, right on my tenderest spot.
My heart skipped a beat. "A-Aidou-senpai..."
Hanabusa kissed my cheek and sincerely said, "I like you, Kanako. I like you a lot."
I turned my head. "...Aidou-senpai..."
Our lips met.
We held each other for seconds, maybe even minutes, lips moving against the other's.
I broke away. "...Together... forever?"
Hanabusa took my hand.
In my ear, he whispered:
"For eternity."
