Rainfall
He walked slowly, his head bent, nose parallel to the ground. He didn't say anything when he got to his destination, the rain did all the talking for him. He walked into the house and took off his shoes. he crept to the stairs and glided up them. Then he walked into the room without a sound, sitting next to the man who was reading in bed.
"Naruto?" questioned the dark haired man. Before the blond could open his mouth to answer a clap of thunder sounded. Naruto doubled over and covered his ears. The dark haired man put his book down and placed a hand atop the smaller mans head. "It's all right, I'm here," cooed the low voice. Naruto whimpered and looked up at the raven. "Sasuke! Why does it have to rain so much in Spring?"
Another loud clap of thunder resonated in the sky and Naruto dove for Sasuke's lap. The raven patted his head again. The man had an odd glint in his eyes, a look of sorrow and protectiveness, two things that Naruto was the only one lucky enough to see.
"Because the wildflowers have to get water some how." he said, standing off the bed to fetch a few towels to dry the drenched blond off with. Naruto slunk after him, clinging to the back of his shirt. Tears ran down the blond fox's face, blending with the rain water there.
"Strip." said the taller, dark haired man. Naruto just nodded and began to pull at his jacket zipper. This was when he noticed that he was cold. Really, really cold.
"Ahh! B-Baka-Teme! Don't you ever turn on the heat?" Naruto flailed as he rushed to get out of the cold, sodden clothing and into the shower.
"I don't use the heat, dobe, I use my body heat and a blanket." Sasuke snorted and pulled his shirt and shorts off before stepping into the warm shower with his friend.
Naruto looked at him with a funny look on his face. "You're going to catch a cold if you're not warmed up all the way." Sasuke put something on his hands and began to rub at Naruto's shoulders. The soap lathered up slowly as Sasuke worked on Naruto's tense shoulders. The sound of the shower blocking out the storm and relaxing him.
"Maa, Sasuke, you're really good with your hands." drawled the now warm but still wet blond. "Shut up and dry off," ordered the Uchiha. Naruto complied and while he did Sasuke did the same. Naruto watched his too-skinny build become dry under the fluffy towel and when he was done with his hair Sasuke reached over and began to dry the mop of golden locks that grew from the darkly tanned head. Naruto didn't bother fighting him, it felt good to just let someone else take care of him.
Thunder reminded him why he was here and Naruto crouched into a small ball on the floor of the steamy bathroom. Sasuke looked down at him and then sighed inwardly. The Raven knelt by the Fox and once again began to dry his thick hair. When he was satisfied that it was as dry as he could make it he drew away.
"You're sleeping with me tonight," said the Uchiha in a tone that was final. Naruto nodded his head and gripped his arm as they stood and walked back to Sasuke's room. Sasuke drew the shorter man close and held him to his chest.
"Are you okay?" came the soft murr of Sasuke's voice by his ear. Naruto closed his eyes and nodded his head,
"Yeah, now that I'm here." he replied and snuggled closer at the sound of thunder then a flash of lightening.
Naruto fell asleep with his arms wrapped around the skinny mans waist and his nose buried in a pale shoulder, the thunder couldn't reach him when he was tucked in next to Sasuke.
