Drabble #72: Laugh

From the moment Aeris had met Cloud, she knew he wasn't a people person. He was also the type of man who liked to keep his feelings to himself. He hardly ever smiled or laughed. He hardly displayed any emotion at all.
But despite that fact, she fell in love with him. His eyes were just full of sadness that she wanted to make right. There was an aura about him that just drew her in. The way he had protected her from so many things proved to her that he wasn't as cold as he made out. That simple act made her love him even more.
But the one thing she fell in love with was his laugh. On the first day they had met, she had seen him laugh for the first, and last time. As they travelled, she kept hoping he would laugh again.
It was his laugh that made her fall in love with him.
