4 yrs after then events of Halo 3 another halo ring has been found. The Marathon Cruiser Remember our Roots was dispatched to secure the ring. On 13 March 2557 all contact with the ship was lost. On 14 March a long-range communication satelite picked up a weak distorted signal; "it's message was clear. It's back and it's worse than we hoped". The UNSC Reach was dispatched to discover the origins and meaning of the message. Onboard was ONI Captain Liana, and the 67th ODST, 'The Enforcers'.
