Disclaimer: Just for the record. Don't own them yah-la-blah-blah-blah (my friends know what I'm talkin' about.)

Summary: Somebody is nervous about going into the underground.

A.N.: Just a little idea I picked up. This is a one chapter only thing. So no big story this time. Just something to read for those who have little time. Maybe I'll dig a little deeper... Later. This is one person talking to themselves. Didn't quite know where to put the *...* (for thoughts) so I just left them out. And o yeah, this is an AU.

Title: She

Okay, so I'm in this safehouse right. I'd seen her before, in a club, dancing with several men AND women ever so seductively. I'd even talked to her at the bar, although I'd rather call it stuttering instead of talking. She said I was cute, she said *I* was CUTE!

She was also the one who saved me from the guys in the suits with the dangerous looking tasers. I couldn't believe how enthralling she looked fighting those guys. She told me to run, I simply couldn't.

She's standing behind the computer, doing.. something. I'm far to occupied with the thought of being with her every single day to notice her looking at me. She calls out my name and asks what's wrong. "Nothing." I blush for some part of me thinks she knows what I was thinking. A beautiful smile appears on her face.

Her friend approaches and whispers something in her ear. She looks at me and they both start to laugh. Oh God, they're on to me! She walks towards me, nowhere to go, nowhere to run. Do I want to? Run, I mean, I sure as hell can't.

She stops in front of me, leaning in to whisper something in my ear.

"I know what you're thinking..."

Her sweet scent is intoxicating. It makes my knees weak.

Again her head moves, this time to face me. Her eyes staring into mine. They slowly start to change, catlike. I respond with the same action. She seems shocked, as if she did not know that I was a feral as well. She turns to her friend.

"I thought he was an elemental?" And much to my dismay, she walks away.

"Isn't he? It says so right here."

"Better bring him to Adam then."

"We'd better, yeah."

She signaled me to come with her, so I did. We got on this strange vehicle, a plane. It flew itself and she lovingly called it 'Double Helix' and spoke of it as if it was alive. We landed in some desert island.

"What am I doing here?"

"You're gonna meet the big chief." She jokes. "Adam Kane."

"Dr. Adam Kane? THE Adam Kane?" I am stunned.

"Yes THE Adam Kane." A man with brown hair approached us. "Why did you bring him here Shalimar?"

"The record shows he's an elemental, but he flashed his eyes in front of me."

"That's odd." He frowns "The database isn't suppose to have that kind of mistakes." Then he turned his attention to me: "Mind if I run some tests?"

"No I don't." I follow him to this lab, Shalimar not far behind.

"Sit down right here." He points at a chair. I take a seat and she holds my hands to make me feel slightly more comfortable. I still felt nervous.

"Relax." Adam smiles "I just need your name for now."

"Saunders, Richard Saunders."
