A/N: Taken from the episode Alex's Logo
Alex sat on an empty bench in the hallway, knees tucked up to her chest. She watched as several students walked by, glaring at her. Since her outburst during the Citizenship Award ceremony, no one wanted to talk to her. No one even looked at her. She sighed, quietly getting up and walking across the hall before Mr. Laritate saw her. He was a nice guy, but… he wasn't what she needed right now. Besides, being friends with the principal of Tribecca Prep was just weird. No, she needed someone else to talk to; someone who understood her; someone who would listen to her; and tell her everything was okay.
The person she really needed was Harper. Harper would know what to do; at the very least, she'd be wearing some sort of wacky outfit Alex could make fun of. Alex cracked a smile at the thought. "Harper and her weird outfits." Alex sighed again, walking over toward the door that led outside. She leaned against the wall, slowly sliding it until she was sitting on the threshold. Resting her chin on her knees, she looked around, her hand absently rubbing her boot. "If only I could—" her eyes lit up. "Wait a minute." She grabbed her wand out of her boots, scoffing to herself. "I'm a wizard. No problem. Now…let's see…"
She twirled her wand around in the air, pointing it outside. "Harper's gone and that's a fact, please bring my friend back." Harper instantly materialized in front of her, looking surprised.
"Alex?"
"Hey Harper."
Harper looked around, trying to get her bearings. "Okaaayyy…it looks like I'm at Tribecca Prep…" she wandered inside, taking everything in. "There's the lockers, and the murals, and the blue and white floor…" she turned to Alex, looking triumphant. "Yep, it's definitely Tribecca Prep."
Alex shook her head, briskly walking toward Harper and enveloping her in a hug. "Oh Harper, I missed you."
"Miss me? Alex, how could you miss me? I've only been gone a few days. It's not like I moved or anyth—Alex?" She looked down, noticing Alex had her head buried in her shoulder. "Alex…is there a reason you brought me here?"
Alex looked up with watery eyes. "How did you—"
"One minute I was in my room, the next minute I'm here. Not hard to figure out."
"Oh. Right." She stood up, looking slightly embarrassed. She sighed again as she made her way back over to the bench she had been sitting on, Harper behind her. "Justin put a truth spell on me; I got this citizenship award…thing and—"
Harper raised an eyebrow. "You got a citizenship award? How? You don't even like school."
"According to the school, I'm involved in school activities. The cheerleading, the mural, the dollhouse t-shirts—"
"Dollhouse t-shirts?"
"Nevermind. Anyway, Justin didn't believe me when I told him I got the award, so he put a truth spell on me. I told him it was true. But…then I was at the school assembly and I…started telling the truth to the whole school."
"And that's bad because…?"
"Harper! I made fun of everybody!" Alex stood up, pacing in front of her friend. "I made fun of the chess team, I made fun of the woo-hoo girls—"
"Well, those woo-hoo girls are annoying…"
"I'm serious Harper!" Alex put a hand to her forehead, flopping on the bench, laying her head on Harper's shoulder. "Now everyone here hates me and I…"
"Don't like it?"
"Ppth. No. I mean…"
"Alex…"
"Fine. Yes, I don't like people hating me."
Harper put an arm around her friend's shoulder. "See, that wasn't so bad, was it?"
"Ugh. Harper, what am I gonna do?"
"It won't last forever you know."
"I know. But…it sure feels like it."
"Aww." Harper wrapped Alex in a tight hug. "That's okay Alex; you still have me."
"Thank goodness. Who else am I gonna make fun of?"
Harper smiled. "See? You're feeling better already."
Alex snuggled into her friend. "Thanks Harper."
"You're welcome."
